I'll defend my choice of the 90s.....not only did it have the better hits, it had some pretty remarkable era of change and diversity. Also peak music videos.

This Is Home rules. The weirdest backlash to that song was people thinking it sounded like AVA just because they dared to use a synth. It sounds directly inspired by the poppier Cure songs like Just Like Heaven, rather than the spacey ethereal U2/Coldplay style AVA goes for.
80s. all about the 80s for me. I think there's gems to every decade, and there's great features to each decade, but to me it was the 80s. the influence and weight of previous decades whilst embracing the technology that will define music for the next decades. sweet spot, at least where pop music is concerned.
I remember you loving This is Home haha. I like the song, just I feel it suffers for the same reasons most of the other songs from that album suffers from. Never understood the hate of the I-I-I and oh-oh-oh thing in the chorus though. It works well IMO.
I agree. I don't get any AVA vibes at all from the song. The riff is blink sounding. The verses are blink sounding. The bridge was probably the most enema sounding thing of the whole album. Just a pure pop punk song with the influences of the Cure. I feel the smiley face album has more AVA sounding tracks.
the right thing to do would be to just cancel these shows and give travis a couple of months to recover properly and then book shows that WILL take place for sure....
but they gotta chase that cash....
also suing that bus driver is just ridiculous... only happens in america, i guarantee you that
how interesting would it be if UC3 was them recording untitled and fighting the entire tour?
just think about how amazing that would be. UC1-3 would be this amazing arc of a band in its prime and the car crash ending of it all.
It's just going to be what we all grew up with - 90s and early 2000s. People are always partial to what is familiar to them.
When I try to look at it objectively, I think the 70s and 90s are the two best periods of rock and roll. Too many good bands emerged during those two decades.
ugh I just listened to Snake Charmer and Kaleidoscope and it made me even more disappointed in current blink-182. I would have loved it if blink continued in the direction they were going in Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs.
Just imagine Ghent and Jar Jar driving round Kansas together shouting 'WE WON THIS WAR WE CURSED AND SWORE'
I bet they meet up and drink Bud Lights while listening to Parking Lot too - doesn't even bare thinking about. Poor sods.
