great quote from mark on why untitled sucks. "We were no longer the silly skate punk kids from California."2 points

Its interesting to watch, John's body language the entire time is very "this is my band" notice how he kind of directs Travis on the drums. Notice how he makes himself the center of attention. But if there is something positive with all of it, at least he has some fucking life and energy. He is what Matt should be. Maybe they should hide Matt off in a corner as a backup guitarist and bring Feldman out as Mark's side kick. It might be an improvement.2 points

that’s why this was such a disappointing experience. travis’s absences notwithstanding, they had plenty of opportunities to switch it up and we by and large got nothing. it’s very disappointing being a fan of this band2 points

Said this before, but he was over in Iraq, 2003 timeframe. Probably some PTSD going on there. . But he admitting he gets disability and all kinds of government benefits. Give a stalker/nutcase money, so he doesn't need a job, no purpose, no structure, no responsibility, and you get famous burrito. Him and Tom have similarities.2 points

What I expected out of the new Blink lineup was a reinvention. Tom was fucking washed up as hell, didn't commit to shit. So I figured an accomplished guy like Matt could come in and it wouldn't be hard to beat what we had towards the end. I figured Matt, Mark, and Travis could get in a room, and reinvent the band. Kind of like they did with Dude Ranch/ Enema transition. I know it wasn't going to be as good as that, but it could have been something. It could have had heart, it could have been organic. I think they had it in them to do a Blink meets AK3 group and have it be good. Instead, we get some saw'd off record exec who writes the music, and who's production work is shit. We get Matt, who doesn't give a fuck and is basically a session guitarist, shitty guitar tone, teleprompter lyrics, and somehow he manages to actually sing worse and have less Energy onstage than a fucked up Tom. You actually have to try to be worse, but he did it. By quite a bit actually. Was it really too fucking much to ask for the former and not the latter? I guess so!2 points

They should quit blink and start a new band. Without the pressure of “this is what it should sound like”. Just write what they want.1 point

Good to see Feldmann and Matt continue to take a giant dump on the band. This is Feldy's band now. Dark times.1 point

Surprises me that he just fits, hahaha. The four of them just look like an aged version of New Found Glory. Feldmann has similar stage pressence than Jordan Pundik.1 point

Whatever floats your boat. As to the bolded, he isn't his own person, he adds nothing. . No one is expecting him To compare to Tom, but it would be nice if he was more than a session guitarist. They could replace him with a pre recorded track up there and no one would know the difference. Blink should have made a better choice in who they selected. I am glad you are satisfied with mediocrity when it comes to Blink 182. But I actually respect the band enough to expect greatness. Not shit.1 point

I love how Tom hates him. Didn't there used to be a video where Famous Burro followed AVA to a restaurant and either Tom or Atom got mad at him?1 point

Yeah I understand a fairly standard playlist for most of these but how do you not throw in Carousel/Josie/M&M’s or just something extra for the last show? I guess Feldy was the highlight. (Which probably was fun if you were there I guess)1 point

lol at feldy! he's fucking annoying but damn give me his Energy and enthusiasm over matt any day…. still confused by the setlist. why do they put obvious, a 14 year old tom only song into the set instead of a new song that they wrote together? it's not even a single/incredibly popular? those cali fillersongs have no staying power and probably the guys are already tired of them as well….1 point

He has no life outside of seeing blink shows. Dude is a fucking straight up stalker.1 point

@Thibaut182 actually the australian apple shampoo CD single was released before dude ranch came out. i ordered mine from australia and received it in the mail in may 1997. you will note on the inside of the sleeve that it says tracks one and two are "taken from the forthcoming blink-182 album dude ranch." @silly_billy they were touring australia in march 1997 under the "apple shampoo tour" name, so the single could have been released even earlier:1 point

Voted no, coming from a guy who was super hyped during the BTD release era. Back then, even with the absence of Tom and addition of Matt the band still seemed like “blink” to me. Mainly because to me as long as the music and chemistry were genuine and exciting, then it would still be blink (huge Tom fan also tbf). The big problem is that the longer this band goes on, the less and less it feels like blink to me. I’ll admit, when I found out Feldmann had a heavy hand in the writing and recording of CA, I was letdown. Listening to it now all I can think about is “I wonder if mark or Matt came up with that part?” “Nah it was probably feldy”. The problem is FELDMAN IS AN ANNOYING FUCKFACE and isn’t a member of the band, so this pisses me off. They hired this douchebag to write their album for them so unfortunately CA has a corporate put it together quick and shit it out to the masses feel to it. Almost like Walmart wrote the damn thing ffs. The other big problem with the band currently is Matt seemingly has zero chemistry in the band and even less influence on the music. I really really wanted to like CA and this iteration of the band. I tried, but for the most part it just feels forced.1 point

Well, that's because Ghent's yet to learn bravado doesn't mask stupid as well as he thinks it does. He'll get there eventually but until then you're just going to get silly retorts like the ones you mentioned. Therein lies a lesson of our own to heed: ignore the rampaging child, they'll give it up eventually.1 point

Well I guess I spoke too soon, of course Feldy was involved: It is pretty sad that Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba can't write a song without this dingleberry involved.1 point

This sounds like someone who's never played guitar. Also electric guitars are made out of wood too you cretin.1 point

Blink is dead. Has been since December 2004. There were some glimmers during the Tom portion of the reunion, but it was mostly a tribute act even at that point. This is a fairly common tale for bands. The Jimi Hendrix experience has toured without Jimi Hendrix Queen without Freddie Mercury. Beach Boys without Brian Wilson. Creedence Clearwater without John Fogerty. Its a very very common tale. I've known for a long time, but sometimes its still tough to admit it.0 points
