Harper.
i cant remember if i made a topic about this or not. does trading an Epiphone Dot for a Squier Standard + $200 seem good?
tom18222
depends how used the dot is and what strat it is. i wouldnt want a squier over a dot but give me more info
Harper.
depends how used the dot is and what strat it is. i wouldnt want a squier over a dot but give me more info i want a different guitar so i will probably sell the Strat eventually. which i think would be easier to sell something for $200 rather than $400. but id rather play around with a Strat than a Dot until then. but my Dot is perfectly fine, and the guy that has the Strat doesnt play guitar. he fixed some guys computer and the guy couldnt pay so he gave him his guitar. tom18222
yeah id have to agree. squiers really are shitty, and if the dot gets set up properly, its actualy a very nice guitar.

Rusty Shackelford
I'd say sell it and save up a little more for a Fender MIM. Better everything and it's not that much more

Rusty Shackelford
All music sites sell them. Musiciansfriend, Music123, and Guitar Center were the ones I always went to.

Guest GrandpaReefer
Dont trade a fucking Epiphone Dot for a squier, fuck that! I'll buy the Dot for $200 then you already have $200 and you can go buy a Fender MIM Strat No but really, Dot = $400 Squier = $200 (if that, its probably a cheap ass one) The Squier may be easier to sell to some kid who wants to start playing, but the Dot will be easier to sell for a much higher price to someone who has been playing. Get what i'm sayin?
Chinomaster182
Dude just sell your dot and give up guitar, seriously as much as the dot is a not-so good guitar, downgrading to a squier strat is NEVER a good idea, just sell your dot on ebay, maybe you'll get around 250$ and you can go buy some candy or a wii or whatever rocks your boat. Harper.
what about an amp? just get the Squier and buy a new amp? all i got is an old Epiphone amp.
justin time
No. keep the dot and don't "trade it". You're better off with it until you can save for the PRS.
