Posting this here because I don't want to derail the dedicated thread, but I'm surprised mark hasn't acknowledged Chester yet since they were gonna be playing together shortly. Matt made an Instagram post.

Marks tweets about seeing people around wearing blink shirts that didn't even know who he was is the exact reason we fanboys don't get nice things.

someone saw blink live and didn't even know it was Mark talking to him after the show. And he was wearing a blink shirt. Jesus

Yesterday when I saw him and talked to him he was walking into the venue with Skye by the main door. The place was full of people queueing around for the show and I was the only one to go to him and Skye to say hi. They stopped to say a few words to me but no one else seemed to notice them. It was so weird. Good for me though haha they were so nice!!

Still can't believe the Chester news...jammed out to Linkin Park so hard yesterday and it is just so damn chilling listening to all his lyrics. It's like he was crying for help for so long... Song titles like "Easier to Run", "Numb", "Breaking the Habit", "Closer to the Edge", "Somewhere I Belong", "Heavy"... it's just so damn sad.

Here's a cool video of Trav playing drums with LP:

And then here's a video I had never seen of Mark playing "Numb" with Chester at a Relief show:

Can't believe they were supposed to play with Blink next week, those shows would've been so sick.

I certainly look back fondly during their heyday. They certainly seemed miles ahead of their peers and seemed like nice guys. I'd certainly take them over most of those bozos making early 2000s hard rock/metal.

Linkin Park is such an interesting sound. I'll never underappreciate what they did and how they did it.

Mixing hip hop with a hard rock and electronics?  Stuff was legendary.

Holy shit does Blink miss this guitar writing ability.  #Tombot initiated sorry blink.

This is how you properly rip off of Adams song Matt & Feldmann.  Put some fucking soul into it.

That sounds rad. The old one sounds like it was an early Stockholm syndrome.

This new podcast blink-155 just started. The guys are going to cover one song each week, so far they've done Dumpweed and Apple Shampoo and it's awesome.

They play snippets, go through the lyrics, the time it was made, find some covers of it etc. For Dumpweed they talk about how it was the first Travis song and address the misogynistic lyrics etc.  Apple Shampoo was fascinating, covering the girl it was about, the response song she wrote.

Pretty much what I was thinking. This video made me nostalgic.

With the news of chesters death, I took another look at my favorite band. On a serious note, I think we should all be thankful that the ex-lead singer and guitarist of our favorite band is still alive. While the chance that tom will ever give a shit about blink again is small, there is still hope. The hardcore linkin park fans must be devastated right now.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing the other day. I can't even imagine if Mark, Tom or Travis passed away unexpectedly. I'd be gutted emotionally, which is weird because I've never met them. Makes me appreciate how Travis recovered from the plane crash that much more. Dude is seriously a badass for eventually going cold turkey on the drugs, both illegal and legal. Could've gone down DJ AM's path but didn't.
