Haha, that line is copied from the Enema of the state wikipedia page. I also don't know though, would love to know..
Buddhaman
haha yeah i know, i didnt feel like writing it, heres what i think based on how they sound going away to college-stratocaster whats my age-stratocaster dumpweed-gibson mutt-? party song-gibson wendy-strat all the small things- strat aliens exist-tele adamsong-stratocaster anthem- strat dysentary gary- gibson
lmnop
you cant really tell the guitar just by the sound. a strat in some amps sound like teles in another amp etc
OrganGrinderX182
i thought anthem sounded way more like a gibson
OrganGrinderX182
i doubt he used a gibson on dumpweed either, too much twang dude heres my guesses, minus the distinction between tele and strat. dumpweed - Fender Dont leave me - Fender aliens exist - Fender going away to college - Fender whats my age again - fender for leads. Gibson for choruses dysentery gary - Fender adams song - Fender but the end sounds like it was layered with some other guitars all the small things - Fender, layering with gibson the party song - Fender mutt - Fender wendy clear - Fender anthem - the gibson kind of stands out more in the intro than in the others, but mostly it sounds layered. i think mostly he used the fenders. that was the main guitar. but added the gibson for layering and adding more fullness to choruses and heavy chorded parts thats what makes sense to me anyway
Art Vandelay-182
He uses a guitar with a whammy bar in Dysentary Gary cuz in the chorus he's doing "dips" or wtv they're called. Damn, I should know this haha.
tom18222
first of all, there are no divebombs in dysentary gary. second of all you can't tell what kind of guitar it isj just by the sound, and he probably used multiple guitars in each song
Art Vandelay-182
nah dude, i'm not talking about "Iron Man" intro-like divebombs lol. Listen to the 4th note he plays in the chorus. It sounds like he's picking that note 3 times but apparently he's using a whammy bar.
High Value Man
Interesting. Only way to know would be studio notes, which I figure exist somewhere.

Art Vandelay-182
Well I could be wrong about the whole whammy bar thing since it looks like lotsa people are doubting me on it. BUT, check out the official Enema tab book and you'll see .

I dont think he used fenders alot on the record it sounds like Gibsons.
