allsystemsgo
As per the title, I'd like to customize my Ibazez Gio with a Seymour Duncan Invader pickup to get the "Tom Strat" sound. Now my guitar has 3 pickups but I want to switch the bridge pickup out with the new one so do I just switch that one or will I have to do something with the other two? Will it effect the the SD pickup by having the two inferior ones in there also? I'd just like to make sure before I do this.

CrackedSkye
Ive heard that extra pickups will still have a magnetic pull and will affect the tone of your guitar. Other then that it wont effect it unless you are running two pickups at once then obviously it will effect. Probably the best thing you can do is get your SD invader, then take it to a shop and have them bypass the tone control. That will give you an accurate sound..the tone control takes some of the highs off, and that pickup needs all of the higher frequencies it can get.
