Ghost
Well, in ths particular case, I'd understand why they're doing an article with her, although they hang out with the rest of the band too. The important thing here, despite Hayley depression problems, is the two label deals that are ruling Paramore. Hayley is under Atlantic, while the rest of the band is under Fueled By Ramen. What a weird scenario to be in.
Scott.
Hayley announced tonight they won’t play Misery Business live again because it has slut shaming lyrics. Jesus fucking Christ. Fuck off Hayley
Patient #48273
I know she said they're going to stop playing it, but I don't think she said why. Do you have a quote to back that up?
Neal
That's just ridiculous https://www.nme.com/news/music/paramore-axe-controversial-track-misery-business-live-shows-2377010 Paramore has some great songs in their catalogue, but they were broken from the get go
_Kyle_
if I had to assume, she's just tired of singing this dumb song she wrote at 17. I would be.
Jan Backing Track
Nothing wrong with slut shaming through music though. Sluts and miserable white men ruin lives.

Lets see how tired she is of singing it when she's 35/40 and noone gives a fuck about her anymore.
Elisa
I don't like Paramore at all but I doubt she won't be famous at 35/

A couple of bad albums and she might need to lean on that track again to sell shows.
Kay
I shared this in the blink discussion on it, but she's not some one off diva. loads of artists do things like this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-45470744

They'll be playing it again at some point and it'll be even more embarrassing when a 40 year old goes back on her word and starts playing a song with immature lyrics out of pure desperation. Patient #48273
She wouldn't be going back on her word if they started playing it again at some point because she never said they were retiring it forever, just that they're moving away from it "for a little while." I really doubt it, they'll probably have an audience that's like "whey haven't heard this live in years" and that's it. people are making a way bigger deal out of this than it actually is. It's a song they've played live for years, they have other big singles, it really doesn't matter. they have had a large enough career to not need to rely on playing one big song live. _Kyle_
paramore is a strange band in that, they're just a single performer made to look more authentic by having hired guns. it's like a strange Christian repo of No Doubt but way less interesting or genuine. thongrider
Weren't No Doubt the same people most of the time?
