Oh and then Tom dropped a new AVA clip... which the first 10 seconds is more interesting than any Cali Era Blink guitar stuff.

I still don’t think Tom is releasing any new music soon and it’s just a crappy little demo he wanted to tease, but at least he’s picked up a guitar recently...

Man blink needs Tom's riffs again.

I mean, it sounds just like Tom because he obviously has his signature style but I don't think I've heard that particular riff in a song before, let alone reusing it since 2001. I'd prefer hearing whatever this turns into over the more Ilan-influenced sound on the Chasing Shadows EP (I think that's what I'm thinking of, not a big AVA fan)

Ilan never even touched Chasing Shadows, even the drums, so I think you’re mistaken lol

It's quite similar to the main riff in Ghost On The Dancefloor, you could argue. it's not particularly imaginative or original, but still not as blatant and pathetic as the 'riffs' in California.

but either way, I didn't like it haha. I'd judge on a full song - because either his phone mic is crappy, or there's a really annoying flange effect on the main guitar that was super irritating, not keen.

I thought so also, nothing new.
