thongrider
I wrote these when I was watching some TV-shows, not sure when I got the idea. One of the show was about a group of young people with mental issues, and the second show was an actor trying to be celebrities and getting into their mind and someone said "You are your own worst enemy and you can't fight yourself" and it made me think of the Lit song, but it also gave me the idea of writing a song about trying to fight yourself, but never being able to win. This is like super emo shit, right here. I have no idea which of the shows I actually got the idea directly, but it was both indirectly. Fight All You Can Verse 1 I see now that I'm my worst enemy And it's my finest, my last and my first memory You can send me the service check I know that I'm a nervous wreck There's nothing to do about that though And all the time I tried find myself I constantly had to remind myself of how I'd be capturing my thoughts Hoping at least one of them'd be caught But I don't even know where they're at, so Chorus Fight all you can Fight with all your might But you'll never understand that you'll never win the fight Beat until your bloody Fight until the death Fight with all your body Fight until your last breath Verse 2 Maybe everyone's their own worst enemy Like a creepy, cracked and cursed memory Perhaps it's not so bad, only beating up your only shadow But you feel like some kind of psycho You scream all you can, hope someone will listen You feel like an inmate, and life's a prison Dreaming of the day when we're free Imagine being totally carefree But I don't even remember what that's like, so Bridge Right in front of you there's fear And you don't see anybody who'd care And it feels inevitably bad, but it's just anxiety And you keep thinking 'bout your tomb And you don't hope your death is coming soon You just don't appreciate life's longevity One more drink for sobriety Ending You could say I'm doing time I don't know what I did, but the punishment fits the crime
