thongrider
These Memories My first school year was over It had finally come to an end I made some marks and memories An I made some pretty good friends But I got to know a friend that I felt also knew me We laughed and ate candy and had the same favorite movies And I went to his house once And it made me smile, I'm confessing Cuz as a sign of our friendship he shook my hand and gave me a present And this little gift turned out to be a butter knife And it's been in my parents cutlery drawer for most of my life Chorus These memories, you carry them with you You can't trace time, cuz time goes so fast These memories, you can't explain the joy they give you Cuz in your thoughts is the only way they'll last These memories, from a time when things seemed better Rose tinted, of course, but you see them again These memories, you know they will last forever If you take them with you and cherish them all you can I was only four and I was already kind of a mess I always wanted more But I ended up with less I never would guessed Something like this would happen It's one of those passages Usually only written in Latin She saw a young boy That was dripping with his own shame I told her I liked her She said that she felt the same I was the happiest boy In the world, I could tell We kissed and planned our future And I can still remember that smell Bridge I've been to cold and warm places Seen all kinds of funny faces I've spat black, I've shat green I've had good and bad dreams But there are things time never erases
