Title says it all! If you were forced to pick, what 10 albums would you be okay with listening to for the rest of your life?

I thought this might be kinda fun given the wave of positivity that's been happening in the blink section as of late. :D

Here are mine (not in order of preference):

1. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

2. blink-182 - Enema of the State

3. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

4. Goldfinger - Hang-Ups

5. Green Day - Dookie

6. Green Day - nimrod.

7. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV

8. Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon

9. Pink Floyd - The Wall

10. Weezer - Weezer (White Album)

Really solid selection. The only reason I left classic rock off is because i have a mild form of Synesthesia and classic rock is so boring colorwise

It all depends it's a mild form so for every song i see colors and patterns but it's way too complicated to describe here. I really need to hire an artist to paint what I see it's pretty intense but I can keep it in the background of what I'm doing. I can't imagine listening to music without it haha. For example for dumpweed during the opening riff it's blue and green and white and yellow with some orange mixed it with different patterns but for a more boring song like atst it's red and white and not much else for the whole song since there's little variation. During the breakdown some orange and yellow is thrown into them mix with different patterns than the main parts of the song. Idk how to explain it I just wanted to let people know why I will never list classic rock in any of my rankings even though I enjoy the genre. Just has little replay ability for me for that reason

Edit: But for every song it's always the same. The pattern and colors never differ. For those interested https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromesthesia is exactly what I experience. I'm an associater, which is described in the page

Almost all classic rock song have the same shade or brown or an orangish brown to me which makes them boring as hell

If I was forced to listen to ten things for the rest of my life I wouldn't pick contempory music. I'd grab ten of the best works from ten of the best composers and that would be mine. Classical music can always be listened to and appreciated and you'll always hear something new.

Sometimes I feel like Rumours is the only album in the world that matters.

Besides Pet Sounds.

Interesting take I'd say.

Even music I love I get tired of after a bit. I would hope the rest of my life would be longer than a week 'cause that's all it would take.

I played viola for 8/9 years so I see where you're coming from on the classical music thing. Even after all those years of playing I still find something new or something I hadn't noticed before in pieces that I played dozens of times.

10. Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up The Girl

9. Coldplay - Ghost Stories

8. +44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating

7. The Weeknd - Starboy

6. New Order - Music Complete

5. Pink Floyd - Wish You were here

4. Relient-K - Mmhmm

3. Blink-182 - Enema Of The State

(I like a lot of old music..just not a lot of old records...so thats why most of it is pretty recent)
