God Damn you half Japanese girls, do it to me everytime

Racism and Sexual preference. When is it racism? When is it sexual preference?

If my preference is Asian females and I prefer them sexually for racial reasons. Is that racist?

Lets take it a step further; lets say the asian female I date, likes white guys, for racial reasons. Is that racism?

Lets take it a step even further, what if we engage in consensual racial sex talk?

I know a guy who is black, and gay, and likes white submissive guys. Thats his preference, and he likes to be called "black master". Not a joke. 100% serious.

I bring this up because of our PC culture, I just want to see how far you are willing to take the PC nonsense. Does the PC phrases extend to sexual talk as well? Also because I made a topic many years ago with this type of talk, so it got me thinking.....

This is the stance to take:

It's racist to forbid yourself from being attracted to a certain race solely because it's that specific race.

It's not racist if you naturally don't find anybody from a specific race to be attractive, or if a certain race naturally makes up a greater percentage of the pool of girls you find attractive.

Using that I'll break down your questions:

I think it sounds like you want something you find attractive, and I think it sounds like you find a lot of Asian females attractive.

If the girlfriend forbids herself from dating any race other than whites, solely because of race, then she's a racist.  If she naturally finds white guys more attractive, she's not a racist.  Either situation has nothing to do with you, so no matter how she is, it will not make you a racist yourself.

It's important to reference people's fetishes.  There are many instances where women enjoy being dominated by their man and being told what to do.  There are instances where people enjoy being slaves to other people.  Is actual sexism involved?  Is actual slavery involved?  I'd argue, no, it's two people consenting to do behavior that they both find hot.  So if you and your Asian girl, Oliver, enjoy the idea of engaging in consensual racial sex talk, I don't find it racist.  And I don't find it wrong.  But who cares?

That's just hilarious.  If it's solely a sexual fetish, I'd argue no, it's two people consenting to do behavior that they both find hot.

I think the overarching point is this, choosing who you want to produce offspring with is one of the most personal and biggest decisions of your entire life.  Nobody should judge you ever for naturally preferring something.

Sexual preference, personal preference is never racism. I don't have much of a sexual inclination towards black women. I'm not saying black women aren't beautiful, I'm saying I don't personally care for them. I am NOT speaking for the masses, I'm speaking for the self. The idea that you can't have a personal interest is ridiculous.

I don't think individual preference is racist, but I do think that preferences are influenced by the larger culture and especially the media, which are racist (systemically and sometimes overtly).

What?? You're high.

Men look at porn, they give it all a fair shake and learn things. They aren't very limited on there..

Okay, Jan.

I do ... Kill me ... Agree with Jan. I don't think standards of beauty are inherently racist. Being raised to believe that white women are the standard of beauty is not the same as having a sexual preference of white women.

I dunno if it's racism. I'm white but I'm not attracted to Japanese women. I've never been attracted to anyone that is black either, unless it's like celebrities. But then again, where I live, there is hardly any black people. I do live in a part of UK that is still a bit old fashioned and isn't exactly with the times yet when it comes to racism or whatever, I'm not one of the racist people though.

Although I did look on friend suggestions on facebook a while back and saw a black woman who in my opinion was gorgeous. Just rejected my friend request dammit!

I've always got a thing for women with dark hair. Brown, brunette, you name it. White or Hispanic looking, I don't care. They're my usual types. Funnily enough, the girl I'm into at the minute is blonde, although gorgeous, not my usual type. I wouldn't view me not being attracted to Asian people as racist though. I mean, some of them are pretty but there's a difference between thinking someone is pretty and being genuinely attracted. That's how I feel about the blonde girl I'm into atm. Not my usual type yet I'm attracted.

I do agree with Speedo that it's more about personal preference than racism.

It's not the same, but it's related.

Not in the majority it isn't.

Anyway, the single disabling factor is someone saying THIS is my personal preference.

I guess I'll give the Professor that the media and culture may shift sexual preferences for teens/young males growing up... But once you become more adult you aren't chasing blondes because Britney Spears is dancing around on TV anymore.

Like it or not, biologically speaking race is a factor into ones sexual preference. It's just biology. You are primarily attracted to the propagation of your own likeness. There isn't anything wrong with that ... Now, obviously each person has their own standards that supercede that, and again, I'm not saying other races are unattractive ... I'm married and have procreated with a Mexican woman  ... But it is a front step in the matter.

I think biology plays a role, obviously, but I don't think it's only biological. A not-insignificant amount is social.

That's my point though, it can't be deemed racist unless it's acknowledged as racist by the person in question.

I'm not sure what your point is. I said initially that person preference isn't racist.

I don’t think that individual preferences are racist either. Not unless you explicitly try to hinder yourself from finding a specific race attractive / make racist comments regarding your preferences, along the lines of what Clarke pointed out.

But I also agree with Laura in that the media and culture influence people’s preferences and that can be negative.

As for your last question, Oliver—I’ve definitely heard of people in modern-day culture saying that ALL individual preferences in dating / attraction are racist. And to me that’s bullshit. Just another case of SJWs being shitheads.

I’m attracted to all races, with the exception of most white guys and most Indian girls. But that doesn’t mean I’ll never find a white guy or Indian girl attractive. I have found both types of people attractive. For a while, for girls, I thought I was only attracted to blond white girls, but that was quickly proven wrong, lol.

You also said that culture and media is an influence and I took that as you imply that culture and media was the evil factor and I don't necessarily think that's true. I mean, did I interpret that incorrectly? If I did, I'm sorry. I misunderstood your point and the importance of culture and media that you were implying.

Basically, the rationale of men being naturally attracted to woman simililiar to their Mom isn't that far off.  And trust me, we are ALL attracted to Speedos Mom.

It's my curse.

It's where I get my own beauty from and I am a sexy fucking man. I can certainly understand the attraction to my mother. It's a shame she doesn't feel the same about you and your weird cleft lip.
