My buddy's friend's uncle used to work for Geffen.  He was recently cleaning out his attic and found a few interesting gems for music collectors, most of which were no interest to us, but he did have one that I found incredibly interesting, it appears to be an unreleased 'Deluxe' edition of Box Car Racer.

It is the same album with a few unique disparities: it has 3 more songs than the album ever had.  These include Mandy, Dance With Me (not to be confused with blink's Dance With Me), and what appears to be an early version of Terrified.  These 3 extra songs are all studio quality, the choruses of Terrified sound more or less the same as what we got on One More Time, but the verses do stand out as you can really hear that early 2000s Tom voice shining through.

I quite liked Dream Walker a lot. as an album it feels more consistent and cohesive, the songs work together well and as an album there's not a lot of total 'duds', but the collection of songs themselves aren't exactly amazing.

On the flipside, Lifeforms has a lot of bad songs, some definite skips / "I'll never play this again" type songs, but it also has quite a few that I like more than any individual song on Dream Walker. So it doesn't deliver for me as a 'record', but a lot of the songs on it I'm happy to keep and respin unlike a lot of Dream Walker.

as a result, they're kind of tied for me., or at least I'm constantly changing my mind As someone who doesn't like literally any other AVA album, their last two records (and their EPs) have been an interesting experience for me. 

What do others think? 

The most shocking thing is that he is part mexican (maybe like 5%).

Tom Delonge is actually Tom Delonge Jr. His dad's name is also Tom Delonge. Tom Delonge Sr Married Constance Lovell in June of 1975.

Tom Sr was born in Feb 1948  to Stew and Paulette Delonge. The Delonge family is 100% american and many of their ancestors served in the Civil war.

Constance Lovell was born on Sept 10, 1952 to someone unknown and Serene Atayde (Tom's grandmother).

The Atayde's are a huge family in southern california and thier ancestors are of course 100% Mexican.

Tom Sr and Constance had two other kids named Shon and Kari. They are now divorced.

I should have been an investigator.

Songs sound fresh, interesting guitar sounds, cool synths, nice lyrics and just overall super catchy ?.

Dare I say, might be better than +44…. ?

Anyway, I'm getting off track here.  I'm sure we've had threads like this in the past, but I don't think we have since The Dreamwalker album, and now with Dreamwalker there may truly be a solid album's worth of good Angels and Airwaves material.  I find it so bizarre that Tom puts out one release with Box Car Racer, and that whole album front to back (with exception perhaps to My First Punk Song, which while not bad, really breaks the flow of the album) is just fantastic.  So lets all give what we think would make a solid Angels and Airwaves album out of all the work they've released.  And keep in mind, while I'm no fan of the "yo oh ohs" Tom does in this band, if the song is good enough overall, it will still get listed in spite of having such nonsense (a song like The Adventure or Rite Of Spring will definitely get included then)  Tracklist is what I believe would sound the best order wise.

^That about does it for me, those are the songs that he's released that I genuinely love from start to finish, he has a few other songs that are meh and I don't hate (primarily from WDNTW and I-Empire), but most others are just boring or bad.  But if he released a 12 track album of those songs, well I'm not gonna lie, I'd probably love that album.
