  2. "I mean, the guys aren't 23 any more--you know, they're dads now--so they're no longer writing songs about poo and pee and that kind of stuff." Meanwhile...

  3. Looks like there's an interview with Feldmann in tomorrow's Kerrang about the Blink album. Will get a copy and try and get a scan up on here.

  4. i honestly found that and the other songs from that EP insulting. because that's what tom thinks a blink song should sound like in his head. 20 years later and that's what he's taken away from blink-182. the guy just doesn't get it. good riddance

  5. When I first read that I thought it said "the best record ever made" missed the "I've". I was like-not this shit again

  6. I think it's supposed to be a pun of sorts ... instead of Blink One-eighty-two it's blink one-eighty-news.

  7. Check at 3:08. Amazing shoe launching.

  8. While I agree that writing a song about Star Wars could be considered childish, A New Hope definitely doesn't deserve to be on the same list as those songs.

  9. Even before Unititled though, they had plenty of serious songs and/or lyrics.

  10. It's like he completely forget about the Untitled era.

  12. Interesting. Never liked her. She portrays someone she isn't. She acts like a crass tough woman that sleeps around. In truth she is a well trained actress that plays that character.

  13. Out of their entire discography, how many songs are even about childish things? Less than 10, I'd wager.

  14. great post. during the untitled era, he was so stoked on what blink COULD be. then, the moment he went crazy and starting doing AVA, he started spouting all those quotes about how blink was for "teenage girls" and shit. like he completely forgot how far they went on the untitled record. and every other interview during the reunion completely reinforced how blink was "celebrating his past/legacy" and all this dumb bullshit

  16. Her only defense is that she's such a massive hack that all of her material is low-hanging-fruit premises that never even leave the ground. The truth, however, is that she is a joke thief. She was on Maron's podcast a while ago talking about how she's a clepto and how she used to steal thousands of dollars worth of clothes and get off to it. Clearly doing the same with comedy now. There are way more examples. The stolen show bits are the worse. The MAD TV ripoff is even shot exactly the same. Another pattern with pretty much all of her stolen material is the slight changes she always make

  17. It better be the best since his production discography is nothing to brag about... I like his work though, he just didn't work with interesting names until now.

  19. It was my favourite from the beginning and still is. it's the only one I related to, and felt anything genuine from. I also love the guitar work on it, the drums on it are some of Travis's best work and I just love how it's delivered. it's one of my favourite blink songs out of all of their back catalog which is fucking surprising considering the album it's from.

  20. For the longest time I didn't think it was anything special, then a couple of years ago it really clicked. I really concentrated on the lyrics, and suddenly the tune started to really connect with me. There are no good words, but it went from being like my 5th least favorite song on Neighborhoods to literally my favorite song on the album. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to eventually recognize and appreciate that song's brilliance.

  21. I dunno, if you think about it, many of their earlier great songs are pretty childish. Songs like The Party Song or Reckless Abandon are just songs about being delinquents that liked to party and have sex. Hell, What's My Age again draws attention to how childish Mark is within the lyrics. Not saying I don't like such songs, I definitely love them, but they were certainly lacking in maturity especially when you compare to songs from Untitled and even some later ones like Kaleidoscope.

  22. Yeah, I don't get it either. It's pretty obvious they wanted to step forward that image. Untitled was a huge step to leave behind all what people was expecting from them. I remember perfectly well how that record got me when it was released. It was an amazing period for the band and for those who were following them since years ago. Then, as you said, find out that Tom just refers to blink as the inmature side of himself. And also, you find that a lot of journalists are saying the same shitty refferences. It's stupid.

  23. Yeah, it looks like they are able now to be mature instead of trying to confuss pretentiousness with maturity (which is what Tom did)

  24. Love the quotes about keeping the fun and sense of humor in the music, while still growing their sound. It's gonna be really nice to hear them having fun again.

  27. Was just about to say that. The British media absolutely love a crappy pun like that, all our tabloid paper headlines are full of them.

  30. Yeah, even though she tends to share my sense of humor. Dick, sex jokes, potty humor, etc- I've just never found her that funny. I remember thinking she was ruining Hoppus' show on Fuse. Couldn't believe she got so big after that. Would bone though.
