  1. This is why I never really got into them. I listen to a few songs and I feel like I've heard most of it. It's my opinion that you can have 2, maybe 3 albums that sound pretty similar, but anymore than that just isn't great. You gotta push the boundaries and do something new more often than that to be a great musician/band.

  2. It's not even just the medleys and chords that are the same throughout, it's the style of song is the exact same. Oh here's another 4 chord song about the same thing, but LOUDER this time. I swear Offspring did the same song twice (The kids aren't alright). I cannot express how much more unique blink is than every other pop/punk band and gets little recognition of it. How you go from Lemmings and Emo to Dumpweed and WMAA to Roller Coaster and Please Take Me Home to Feeling This and Always and all of Untitled.. to Kaleidoscope and Natives and then become a parody band after all that? Dynamic and the most interesting band of all time to me... Only to be held back by their lack of content/discography which is a tragedy.

  3. dude my brother just got a TV and has that auto-smoothing feature on it. they can't tell it's on and it drives me crazy. everything looks faster and weird outside of live events. they can't tell and think I'm fucking with them.

  4. You can definitely hear the progression. But it isn't as drastic as blink. I find American Idiot just sounds like everything they did previously. All they did was turn 2-3 minute pop punk songs into 10 minute medleys. Warning just sounds more folky or something but it's still typical Green Day to me. Obviously they have done the odd 1-2 songs on each album that's completely different. One song I love is Peacemaker. Fucking love that song. If there is one band that is even more samey than Green Day, it's the Offspring. Man, that band used to be fucking great. They can still write the odd 1-2 great songs on recent albums. But they've been writing the same album since the late 90's. Very stale and boring band now IMO.

  5. Every Green Day album sounds different to me. I still don’t get the idea that all their stuff sounds the same, haha.

  6. We had a bassist once that we spent 3 months practicing with, teaching the songs, getting them down, building chemistry, etc. The first and only show with him he played 3/4 of the first song, forgot the bridge and stood there watching me like an idiot. The drummer and I finished off the set the best we could and then had an audience member come up and play bass for some Ramones covers while the loser stood off to the side of the stage looking like a dope. After seeing that I can forgive most any and all mistakes made live by any professional musician.

  7. Every Green Day song sounds about the same. They're very good, if not great at what they do and I liked them quite a bit but they recycle the same 3ish songs.

  8. I saw Alkaline Trio live a few months back and they were fantastic. With that said, I'm not anywhere close to as familiar with Alkaline's music as I am blink's, so he could have been messing up the entire time and I didn't even realize it. But also, I almost never notice mistakes (unless they're huge ones) when I'm actually at a concert. It's easy to catch mistakes on shitty YouTube videos, but when I'm actually there at the show I never notice. The two times I saw AVA live I thought they sounded amazing even though they sound like shit in every YouTube video. When I saw blink with Matt I didn't notice any mistakes even though there probably were a lot.

  9. I haven't listened to much of their music, admittedly, so i'm going to do that and get back to you on this.

  10. I fucking despise that cocksucker. Counting the defensive players on the field and snapping the ball before they can get off. You can't touch him without a flag, or if the bitch throws an interception they'll make something up for him. He's a cunt and i despise everything he stands for. Oh yeah. IT WAS A FUCKING CATCH.

  11. I love Rivers and Brady lol. I get the hate but Brady is the living goat and Rivers is hilarious. Only QBs I can't stand are Newton, Wilson, and Rodgers.

  12. i dont think its that bad of matt to forget alkaline songs. it's his band, he can do what he wants. but beeing offered a gig like touring the world with blink and having the nerve to step on stage an butchering classic riffs of their repertoire is just pure ignorance

  13. Dude, I need a TV. Hook me up with this connect. The easy answer is always cheaper and bigger. Screw all those extra pixels you don't need...the stores set them strategically anyways. After a few beers you don't even notice. Especially for sports, size matters, it's a whole nother level of entertainment on a giant massive screen (65 is pretty big tho ?). I have a 38 inch leftover after my last move and It severely lacks...but I don't mind it for just surfing the web/netflix. Me and my friend have actually been traveling to this sports bar with 200+ inch TV's and sound system for big games and it literally changes your life. I opt to go there then even over a live event because it's so fricken intense. It also completed a room nicely.

  14. They did the same thing to Pete Carrel and Russell Wilson. While I STILL would have ran that ball and think it was a bad call, Beast Mode was 1/5 on goal line runs that season.. It wasn't as horrific as they made it, that's an easy throw Malcom Butler made a heroic play.

  15. Yeah it's crazy how that got missed. I think just the emotion and given his body of work of "Doinks" it slipped by the initial reporting.

  16. Yup, they played a song off their new album the other day and he didn't know the entire second verse. From /r/alkalinetrio: "If I went to a blink/trio show and Matt didn't get the words wrong I would be legally entitled to a refund"

  17. i think it's more the songs feldmann wrote/recorded that matt has problems playing

  19. I've always found Nirvana shit. Don't like one song by them. Tried to listen to them before and just can't get why they're this legendary band.

  20. To be honest, it's been ages since I've heard those earlier albums. I just remember them all sounding very samey compared to what blink were. I've never ever found blink samey. Even California is completely different from everything they've ever done IMO outside of like 3-4 songs.

  21. Disagree with this. Although Dave's act is getting old. "I am just a humble working class guy who gets to play areans and have Paul McCartney join me onstage occasionally. Isn't this cool guys?"
