  1. I totally read this out aloud as if I was a wrestler in the ring talking on the microphone.

  2. I'd rather they completely stopped after DED than what they actually did. their legacy is already ruined, Tom coming back would just make it more entertaining.

  3. Skiba is a train wreck playing some of the riffs though. I’ll take the highs and lows of Tom and his personality over boring, mediocre Skiba.

  5. Donald Trump's Bulge vs Clar-ke has Herpes Ladder Match. The winner becomes the lawyer of the loser. Imagine the storyline. If Oliver loses the match and somehow gets arrested in the future, then his own personal lawyer can purposely make it worse for him. The same applies vice versa. Fuck raw. Fuck smackdown. Fuck WWE. This is blink-182 online! The best of the best.

  6. Can we address coconut water for a second? I know it's not milk, persey, but it flirts with it and sits in the same section at the stores. And it tastes like shit.

  8. I think what really gets people thinking he's worse than Tom is: 1. He was originally thought to be this ultimate professional coming in to fucking nail every live performance 2. He messes up from time to time while standing still and having no energy/personality while he's playing onstage. In comparison Tom's sloppiness was part of his charm because he was usually flying around goofing off rocking out while playing (not counting the later reunion era shows). So Skiba's screwups end up seeming like he's failing while either trying really hard or literally bored to death, while Tom's seemed like they were a result of him having too much fun.

  9. He honestly isn't as bad as this board says he is though. It's a gigantic exaggeration that has just turned into "fact" because he messed up a handful of times, and the narrative was pushed over and over and over. He is MUCH better live as a whole vs Tom. And if you argue "I lOvE tOm'S sLoPpInEsS lIvE" your point is even further moot.

  10. OH LOOK WE HAVE ANOTHER WANNABE MUSIC PRODUCER WHO THINKS THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT MORE THAN THE PROFESSIONALS ETC ETC ETC...

  11. I'm 100% excited for Tom being back in blink no matter the circumstances. The reunion era was weird and kind of stupid but I loved the music we got out of it. I'd take back that blink-182 in a heartbeat.

  15. It's called contributing Blink related news/conversations to a Blink page. You should try it. I spent an hour watching this and summed it up nicely for those who don't have the time... you googled a meme just to be a prick.

  16. On an unrelated topic I always roll my eyes when people are like "Tom has always sucked live!" because he was actually pretty consistently fucking awesome up until like 2002 haha

  17. 1. This is a made-up #fanfic. He was a musician they respected in a band somewhat close to them; not to "nail" a performance like a robot. 2. This is you wanting Skiba to be Tom. He's not, he stands around on-stage because it's how the guy is. Some people don't jump off the drum riser, it doesn't mean he isn't enjoying himself or trying to put on a good show. This is fake news because Tom used to be goofy, rock out, run around with his guitar slung to his fucking ankles and he played almost perfectly, and sang almost identical to his recordings (or at least close to them.) He has been lazy as fuck for a long time and his sloppiness is because HE DOESN'T GIVE A FUCK. He purposely fucked up First Date just because he doesn't want to play it anymore. He's a douche who takes his fans for granted.

  18. Remember when Tom was in the band and everyone on here complained that he was too drunk and an embarrassment on stage? Now it's considered "charm and energy" and is a highly sought after trait

  19. It's not ruined, 90% of anyone who knows Blink only remember ATST through I Miss You essentially. It's cemented through that, and anything else is just a bonus that is mostly irrelevant. It's just like a classic movie or franchise, Halloween 1 isn't going to be ruined because H6 sucked with a different actor/director. The new Star Wars aren't ruining the originals, yeah it may cause a fuss for hardcores, but it's just a bonus for old and new fans alike at that point. If you hate them, whatever, the originals are still there.

  21. Having blink on shuffle can be bad on the ears. Went from Aliens Exist to Hearts All Gone. the guitars sound awful in HAG straight after AE and Mark's vocals are so naked and much higher in the mix than the rest of the instrumentation. song sounds hecka empty. Really glad I don't have any California on this playlist, I dread to think how much worse the comparison can be. Sigh. I miss Jerry Finn.

  22. Based on videos I've seen of blink playing live, I'd rather watch Tom. Sure it can be a complete shit show but it's the reason why I love live blink. I've always preferred his live tones over Skiba's. Skiba is the better singer but Tom makes up for that with his stage presence and charisma. Rather watch a crappy punk rock live set than a perfect (average in the case of Skiba with blink) but soulless and boring live set.

  23. Skiba is boring live, can’t play some of the riffs (WMAA is embarrassing), and needs a teleprompter for the lyrics. I’ll take crazy, drunk, not giving a shit Tom over incompetent, boring Skiba. At least Tom is entertaining and changes the songs up.

  24. Yeah exactly, the music was more interesting as were the live performances. Those acoustic sets as well as Tom fucking around with solos and intros made it a lot more refreshing.

  25. Honestly that interview sucked. Tom was there to promote AVA and he spent forty minutes talking about the ufo stuff. I would be pissed if I was his label/Kari. The interviewer didn’t really ask once about the album, the recording process, how the last year has been in ava land, what the new album is like, what’s the plan for the release, when’s it coming. It doesn’t make sense to me for the interviewer to not ask about it in a fifty minute interview unless she was told not to bring it up. They spent 40 minutes about the ufos, five minutes on blink, and five minutes on ava.

  27. Does anybody else think this single is forgettable? There hasn’t been really much promotion to go with it. blink just released a song while announcing a tour and then went back into hiding to resume recording sessions. Every once in a while I’ll forget and remind myself that blink released a new song not too long ago.

  28. I'm listening/watching and it's a nice interview. You are too tragic. He doesn't sound as delusional and out of his mind as he was in every other interview of the last few years, does he? It's nice to see he's getting better. I also think he's fine without blink and he should keep things this way (until he's actually ready to be back, but it looks like he still has so much going on right now and blink is the last place he should be)

  31. To me it simpler: in Alkaline Trio and other projects, he just nails it. His appearances sound fillfed with passion. Meanwhile, in blink, he sounds pretty flat, IMO. And moreover, I can't recognize his songwriting on new blink's songs. That's the place fro mwhere my disappointment comes.

  35. Tom mimicking blowjobs was more interesting than Skiba acting like a stiff and reading off a teleprompter while fucking up every blink intro.

  36. I'll give ya that the new music was overall more interesting with Tom post reunion, but good lord, their live performance were fucking terrible post-reunion while Tom was around. They're nothing special with Matt, but I can actually listen to the Matt shows and not want to rip my ears off, yeah Mark is still flat, but at least Matt doesn't sound like he's murdering a cow every time he sings live. The small acoustic sets with Tom were admittedly interesting, but those were only a few songs each night, and the rest still sounded terrible when they played the rest of the sets traditionally.

  37. I've been curious about reading the books, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get into them just like I could never get into the Lord of the Rings books. I tried a few times to start Fellowship. Never got far.

  39. Dunno why anyone would complain. I love an actress that can kick ass in movies. I just hate movies that are toned down to 12/PG-13 when they could be better as 15-18/R rated movies. All for the sake of money, but that's an entirely different topic altogether. I don't wanna see generic Tom Cruise action movies. Rather watch something like that Lucy which has an actress as the lead role. Can't remember who though haha.

  40. The first three were terrible propaganda films. Princess Leia? Feminist agenda much? The plot? Fighting against the empire and for republic and blowing up the enemy's space station.

  43. It took me over two years to finish the first book, about a year to finish the second book, and three months to finish the next three. They’re hard to get into because he uses so many names and terms as if you know them already and it can be a slog to get through. A lot of the time I think it’s hard to compare the quality of books with the quality of their TV / movie adaptations because words and images are just different mediums. But I do think D&D could’ve done the books “justice” if they had just taken their time with the show.

  47. The songs on California cater for 16 years old a fuckload more than the later Starting Line releases. The Starting Line stopped releasing music years ago but that is a sound that has aged far better than California ever will.

  48. I'm not gonna diss the blink song too hard but I do find it quite funny that Ghent mocks that song yet loves a song about guys in their 40's who have been millionaires for 20 years (Mark & Travis at least) releasing music about how hard it was for them being a teenager.... Starting Line are class as well. Most people default to Say it Like You Mean It when they think to them but Based on a True Story is also a fantastic album, absolutely rinsed that back in my college days, can't believe that is album is 15 years old now, fuck.

  49. This sums up Ghent. There is no point in addressing anything he says in any serious manner.
