  1. Gotta say I really admire the positivity Tom is taking on Twitter. Not much of it going around...

  2. Have you never been on this forum before? All we do is talk shit about their lives based on absolutely nothing.

  3. It's a boring song and I still don't know what a liar's hole is.

  4. @Diddy Faplord Most people aren't just trying to shit on Tom, it's just that we have like 16 years worth of public knowledge that tends to point toward him having a pretty strong change in his personality and becoming WAY more volatile and nonsensical at times. I'm not saying he definitely has this or that mental illness, but he's given plenty of reasons to think he might not be totally well all the time.

  5. "your smile is gone, I noticed it bad" Literally one of the worst lines Tom has written.

  8. I remember when we got this like little snippets of a few songs before the whole album came out and we heard like the first verse and chorus maybe of it hurts and it sounded so promising. Then the whole thing came out and Tom sounds like a dying goat in the second verse. Good song but his singing ruins it.

  12. Yeah, mostly in order. I started with 6 though which is what got me into the series and really what got me back in JRPGs in general after not playing any for probably a decade. That and Chrono Trigger. After I finished FF6 I started the series from the beginning.

  13. I’m assuming you’re doing them in order. You’ve got 10 coming up! Probably my favourite one.

  14. I have Secret of Mana on the SNES Classic Edition, so if I really love it and decide I need more I might check out the collection for the third game. I'm really looking forward to FF9 though! I've been having a great time playing through the series over the last couple years. I've loved almost all of them, except FF2, which I hated lol.

  16. Giving animal crossing a little break and trying to Trials of Mana demo. Love a jrpg and one that isn’t turn based should be fun. Never played the original.

  17. It's completely reasonable to speculate that Tom has a mental illness of some kind. Straight-up trying to diagnose him or suggesting treatment for him would be too far, but 90% what we do here is speculate about shit, so I'm not sure why mental illness should be off the table.

  18. Why would you suggest such a thing during these times!? Time to stand together united as one

  20. I think a brief timeline on why Tom is the way that he is, is something like: -Young Tom is just happy-go-lucky, party hard, immature musician who knows how to write good hooks with easy, yet catchy guitar riffs. -Tom eventually began to resent the band's immature image and wanted to be treated seriously. I think this began around the time of BCR/Self-titled/endorsing John Kerry/AvA making the best album in 20 years/etc. He had an irrational chip on his shoulder to prove to people he was smart/edgy/artistic and wanted to be treated seriously, but he overcompensated for it and his ego fucked things up with Blink/AvA. -Tom realized the immature image is part of the band's schtick and embraced it again in the Reunion/Neighborhoods era. -Tom has fluctuated between immature/mature whenever it benefits him. The TTS debacle proved that, while he wanted to be treated seriously and do big things, he doesn't have the critical thinking or business acumen to succeed when he tries to run a company. He was taken advantage of and lost a bunch of money; he believed the dumbest/most fake UFO videos as being real. But he can also be likeable and funny/immature in his social media posts, interviews, etc. Then throw in alcoholism, drug abuse, and potential mental illness, and you can see why things have gone the way they have.

  21. Wow some cool insight from Rick DeVoe on this podcast, first blink talk around ~33:45, Scott/Travis talk around 48:00, Tom/BCR talk 58:00 https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/rick-devoe-manager/id1367830700?i=1000468747684 He said they were having issues with Scott (also told a story prior to this where he mentioned Scott had been drinking too much) and Tom came to him and said "We need Travis Barker in this band."

  22. I think A Little's Enough might be the worst song Tom has ever written by a long country mile BUT Good Day is also a turd so I'll vote for that.
