  1. doesn't sound like you listened to the whole thing. he sounds super happy about where he's at with his business (three coffee shops) and ava is just extra money whenever he wants to be a part of it. but since he has very little involvement, he doesn't have much to say about the band and it probably isn't his place to reveal certain things. despite all of this, i thought he said plenty of things involving the band's politics that tom would actually be pissed about.

  3. Fucking hate Billie Eilish. I don’t get it. Isn’t her brother the talent behind all her songs and she justs fucking whispers her way through them? She can get in the fucking bin. She stinks of an industry plant.

  4. Cool clips! I never found a band that really sounded like Blink 182 in my whole life. Those "Starting Line/ NFG / whatever band sound like Blink"...never worked for me. Some ooold songs from an european band called Fonzie sounded like a happier dude ranch ('drive my vespa', 'rock my heart'..)... But I never found a band that really sounded like them. Well at least in my opinion. I tried to make MY BAND to sound like them but we were terrible singers haha

  5. To be fair that's easily true. Ilan is way more talented than Tom and David as a musician.

  6. Never did he once say that Ilan writes everything. Quite on the contrary, he said that Tom writes ten songs if its for a ten song album and nothing more. What he did say though was that Ilan was so good that David didn't feel like he had to play anything on the album as Ilan did it better.

  7. I have a grudge and don't want him back in blink because I like new blink-182 albums. We'll be lucky to get an EP before they split up again when he weasels his way back in.

  8. Lol, poor David. All he wants to say is that AVA has been trash from the start, but he can't burn the bridge because he likes the touring money. Don't blame him

  9. I actually heard this version first and then listened to the original out of curiosity and, boy, was it jarring.

  10. I think from time to time there's been pop punk bands that have pretty much nailed the blink sound. The whole intro of this song could easily be in a blink song

  12. This is the only one I’ve ever heard that I feel actually nails the blink-182 sound. I like it a lot. Making country covers of blink-182 songs wounds my soul. One of the only genres of music I truly hate lol. I won’t even listen to them and let them taint the songs for me.

  13. Adding my little timeline trivia right here! In regards to Epitaph Records, this is footage from a promo video of the band at the Epitaph office (notice the Offspring and Bad Religion posters in the back as well as some old school blink stickers) This promo video is dated end of May 1996/ start of June 1996 when the band was still signed to Cargo Records and right after the Australian Tour in May. Page 55 is the Epitaph talk in Joe Shooman's book with a direct quote from Scott: "However, I was only half on board with the decision to go to the major. The fact that Epitaph wanted to sign us still stands as one of the greatest achievements of my life. I really wanted to go with them, but being in a band is about compromise. Looking back I mark the decision to go to a major over Epitaph as the point where I was only half-invested in blink. I mean, I was intellectually invested, I recognised it as a smart move financially. But it's like that song says, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco", I left my heart in the office at Epitaph. After that compromise I found it difficult to make further ones, and I felt like I was asked to make a lot. Eventually, there was not enough of my heart in the band to justify my sticking around. I backed away. I was dead weight."
