couple things to post since the board is very quiet lately. mark had a piece in GQ's latest issue about his cancer journey. blink-182 italia mercifully posted some excerpts but i'm still looking for the whole thing. here's some key sections: in addition, it looks like he was visiting san diego today with jack; jack posted some really rare blink cassettes and WIP mix CDs on his instagram story. some screenshots here for posterity. i'd love to hear some of these, lol, even the most random "up 5db" mix.

Here are the photos that I have from the show at the Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas on December 8th, 1994. I can confirm this because my senior high, winter formal dance is on the same roll of film negatives, and it was on the 10th of December. Yeah, this interview needs to be a thread. And that's so awesome he took Jack to that Sombrero's and looked through the blink stash. That entire collection of OG stuff needs to be locked away somewhere. probably not the best idea for it to be laying around at your mom's house anymore lol.

i've got scans of the whole article, but the quality isn't great. a paper magazine is on the way. mark was at his mom's house in rancho bernardo today. he posted a ton more content on the discord than jack did on IG. and he packed up the entire archive in the garage and drove back home to beverly hills with it. there are many items with tons of multiples—like stickers—so i suspect these will be for blinko prizes. for the more rare stuff, i don't know. it's really remarkable of kerry. the woman saved absolutely everything.

Huge props to board member rjphoto here who shared this absolute gem of a picture from 1994 in regards to the strat (precisely from this show 12/8/1994: The band performs at Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada)! Big difference between this picture and the footage from October 1994 where Tom has started the stickering process! Can clearly see the Ten Foot Pole and the anime logo for sure!

The tape was purchased in person, at the show so I wouldn't say that the inserts are fake. This show was in 1994 or 1995, the same year that the cassette was released. It may be hard to tell due to the lighting in my kitchen, but the insert does have a purple hue and does not have any lines like you'd say were from a copy. Dare I say that maybe your insert may be a second generation as your tape was acquired in 1997? Your scan of the insert from your cassette looks very saturated while this one is a subtle purple/violet color. If you'd like a scan of the insert next to a color wheel, I'd be happy to show you what I'm talking about. Again, this was purchased right from the hands of the band, and has been sitting in a box for decades, forgotten about, without much play. I don't remember the show date, but it was the Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas, I shot photos of the show and will dig them up. I know that a couple of my friends that were there with me also purchased a tape so I'll see if they still have them.

rob isn't sharing the tape out of respect for mark, who doesn't want it distributed. it's an asshole of a move to show up in a community where people have posted thousands of times, and the first thing you post is to call someone who was a personal friend of mark an asshole. fuck right off, thanks.
