Give Me One Good Reason is one of my faves too. It’s dumb AF but I still laugh at “hate the jocks, the preps, the hippy fucking scumbags” after all these years. I am also a hardcore Everytime I Look For You fan. The bridge is orgasmic. Story Of A Lonely Guy, Online Songs, Time To Break Up, the whole album is a slam dunk for me.4 points

@Quinns86 would you be willing to complete an exit survey?2 points

It’s weird seeing everyone refer to the song as Don’t Tell Me It’s Over, we called it Hold On when it came out.2 points

Hi all. I'm new to the boards. I wasn't sure where the best place to post this was, so I apologize if there was a previous thread already about people's collections. I checked with one of the mods first though, and they said it was ok! Anywho - I just wanted to share some pics I just took of the Blink merch. collection I gathered during my teen years. I don't think there's anything particularly rare in there, but it's definitely special to me. I was hoping to connect with some fans - particularly people who came onto the train around Enema like I did. As you can see, my merch. highly reflects being a fan that got involved around 99' as a 13 years old girl. I would still consider them to be my fave band, but haven't explored anything under the actual "Blink 182" name since the reunion occurred with Neighborhoods and the shows around that time. Should I get over this and give the Skiba albums a listen?....I'm scared to, haha. I feel like he's like my dad's new girlfriend and I'm not comfortable or something....... If you see anything in my collection that strikes your fancy and you'd like to see better pics (of the inside of a magazine or some such thing, just lemmy know!). I'll look forward to interacting with you all on here. Link to more/better images: Thanks, Quinn1 point

and really that's the thing about any album-to-album discussion, for a band that's been around so long. everything is tied to age. everything. jacket came out when i was 24, so the album (lyrically) felt very cringe to me. "kids can't vote adults elect them" on the first track and i was out. years and years later, i actually like jacket (musically) more than enema.1 point

Exactly, I just texted my buddy this , it's weird they omitted "that" from the title1 point

It bothers me that the line is actually “dont tell me that its over” but it’s not titled that. i also knew it was Hold On thougH.1 point

They did what they sought out to do. I remember spending every day at my friends in the summer listening to the joke songs and dying of laughter at that age.1 point

In 2010 I got into ice hockey because my friend was a huge bruins fan. Every time we'd watch hockey, it'd be the Bruins and they even won the Stanley Cup in 2011 so I very quickly fell in love with them and have been following them for over 12 years now.1 point
-
I actually really want to "get into" hockey, but it's hard for me to follow every time I try to watch it I get bored and turn the channel. I need a moron's guide to hockey or something.1 point

I always thought that blink's "rebellious" songs seemed pretty try-hard.1 point
-
Yea reckless abandon would probably be my 4th favorite. That was the blink I loved, I was a pretty rebellious kid , so the weed and alcohol references were right up my alley lol.1 point

3 absolute bangers! I recently learned how to play Dont tell me it’s over and time to break up correctly all the way through on guitar, now I gotta nail down give me one good reason. Such fun songs1 point

Please Take Me Home continues to be underrated. Best verse/flows on the album with Tom and his guitar there.1 point

the US CD single for all the small things had M+M's as the second track and the back of the sleeve showed the cheshire album art. a ton of people who didn't know the band well suddenly knew that record existed, myself included.1 point
-
apparently people who love give me one good reason, time to break up and don't tell me that it's over get all the hate on reddit, but those 3 are my favourite songs from TOYPAJ 🙌1 point
-
I thought the whole point of To The Stars Academy was to release Government confidential UFO information to the people. Charging $50,000 for a briefing with Tom kinda defeats the purpose.1 point

Everytime I Look For You kicks ass. Best song from that album and one of the all time great blink songs. I've always said TOYPAJ instrumentally is an amazing album but the lyrics in most of the tracks are just bad. They don't seem as honest to me as Enema lyrics do, which was only 2 years before and pretty much has similar subject matters. Hard to explain but something about TOYPAJ doesn't click with me the way Enema does. Anthem Part 2 has lyrics I think are decent in one verse but then in another verse it turns into bad lyrics (especially this bit: corporate leaders, politicians, kids can't vote, adults elect them). Other songs have the same problem. I just feel like Enema doesn't have that problem. I'll always find the lyrics in Reckless Abandon hilarious though. I'm 29 and I still crack up at the "took a shit in the bathroom tub" line.1 point
-
Agreed. What are you favorite songs from TOYPAJ? Mine are give me one good reason, and then the two electric bonus songs. I hate it that friends who know I’m into blink assume I’m rocking out to first date 😅 lol1 point

yeah my older sister did the columbia house thing and i got like 11 cds for a cent. all I can remember getting was getting stuff like Bush's Sixteen Stone, Green Day's Insomniac, and Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. I think they called the house and my sister just told them she was 13 and what were they going to do about it.1 point

Man this is so depressing. Tom is legitimately evil for taking advantage of these poor saps. 15 large films in the works… how many see the light of day? Setting the over/under at 1.5. Who is he making these films for?!? A couple thousand people might actually see these films, and that’s perhaps generous.1 point

I like how they list the number of followers ‘Across all TTS associated social profiles and properties. ’ 6M+ Facebook Followers ( no idea where this number comes from?) 880,000 Twitter Followers ( Tom has 727k) 1.2M Instagram Followers ( Tom has 953k )1 point

Can't be, it has to be monetary. That's how it's taxed and everything. Creative Tom being too creative here.1 point

Unless he was wearing the exact same dirty t and beanie (which is not outside the realm of possibility) it looks like this was interviewed 6 months ago and they just started re posting all the clips. This was just big for me because I always wanted to hear him talk directly about the 'Yead' take off.1 point
-
Rumblings of Tom settling down, becoming more normal....even the whisper of a possible blink return.....he drops his latest multi-level grift scheme. 50k for a PRIVATE BRIEFING? 25K for a Zoom call?!?! What a bargain...INVEST INVEST INVEST! https://invest.tothestarsinc.com/0 points

I don’t mind Everytime I Look For You but I don’t understand the legendary status a lot of fans give it. The “will the last one out please shut the door” line always came across as extremely lazy in my opinion0 points
-
Sorry, not casual as in people that only know the radio hits but people that aren’t die-hard fans that are getting into the band. Jan was under the illusion people checking out all the albums would just skip/not notice Cheshire just because.0 points
-
all you do is mock and harass tom's fans. stop pretending like you care about them lol0 points

This is nothing like I imagined. It's ny fault because I fell for it, but Tom has been talking for YEARS about how this movie was supposed to tap into the 80s latchkey kids culture of these California kids going on an adventure/surfing/listening to music and bumping into aliens (and I have a soft spot for those kind of stories) but this trailer is awful.0 points
