That discord channel is the epitome of ass-kissing. For all the money people in the US are paying to see blink next year, Mark should be glad this thing found its way to the fans. I know it was filmed in the middle of a disaster, but it doesn't really feel like everyone was is in a bad place, it's just blink touring and making their silly comments + some cool shots of the middle East and Europe.7 points

What a bunch of losers. Nothing in here was shocking or incriminating. It's just the usual blink stuff so I don't see the big deal. Better than it being lost media.7 points
-
This isn’t leaked nudes ffs. I’m going to watch and I’ll have zero guilt doing so. Stop being so worried about your image you old bastards6 points

imagine travis doing the humble act of taking a "normal" job for a few days in 2022 to ground himself. the kardashians would lose their shit and disown him.6 points

Hahaha just watched this, I'm fcuking in it ffs. 43:43 at the Atticus Meet & Greet with Mark at Brixon Academy on 14 Dec 2004. Amazing5 points

I feel like this awful depressing (photoshopped??) promo photo was used for every single thing from 2009-2015 hahah5 points
-
They're a real band again. I still can't believe it. Immediate new song and fun music video, multiple promo photos, social media presence, behind the scenes stuff, it's incredible. Everything between 2005 and now felt like it was only halfway there in one way or another. This feels real again.5 points

good thing there are like 50 other generic feldmann bands churning out more nine songs for those who still long for it.5 points

this is really amazing imo. so well shot and edited. love how the music from the album is used to score the scenes. it highlights moments from it that i haven't appreciated in a long time. it's also kinda sad watching this because it feels very dreamlike and i'm left nostalgic for an era of time that doesn't exist anymore5 points
-
It's fantastic, I love it 😭 The blink fanbase claims to be tough but crumbles into pieces as soon as we get something new from the blink camp, even if it's some footage that was shot while the band was breaking up, because we're not used to get unreleased nice things.5 points

Mark should be happy for fans to get to see cool things like this. It’s not like he’s got any plans to do anything with it. Fuck it and let the fans enjoy.5 points

tell him to check those ticket prices and call it even5 points

I still can't believe they got Robert Smith on one of their albums. One of the coolest things they have ever done.5 points

What if I were to say that Edging is starting to grow on me as well? Listened to it multiple times this weekend. Will you guys forgive me as I stand here with my tail between my legs?4 points
-
Yeah it’s hilarious how badly they shat the bed on that in hindsight4 points

mark's discord is full of moderators shaming people for watching this and taking the stance of "this wasn't meant to be released for a reason." i'm guessing that reason is simply the band breaking up by the time they finished making it. i doubt the team who dedicated over a year of their lives following the band around and ultimately putting this together were happy about it being scrapped.4 points

just bought one of them VIP tickets to the 3rd sydney show even though i'm going to the first one with standing tickets fuck it i've never done any sort of special ticket shite before may as well do it for this4 points

now we need those dude ranch demos and our lives will be complete4 points

The photo at 48:19 with the fan that looks like him makes it look like Tom is being held hostage in the band at this point lol4 points

First 40 minutes. Hopefully the rest pops up soon.4 points

wow this really is all Estevan Oriol footage. not the "cheetah" footage or MTV stuff. this stuff looks incredible and mark would have to be a real wet blanket to be mad about this being out there.4 points
-
There wasn’t really any substance to the doc. It’s essentially just a highlight reel of the euro 2004 tour starting with the trip to the aircraft carrier. Cool to see but there’s nothing there really necessary to see, definitely understand why that was never released. But not in a the band would be mad to see it out there now way, since it’s just random clips and not really interviews about the state of the band highly doubt mark will really care.4 points
-
I get they might not necessarily be “happy” but I also don’t get the outrage. I’d just kind of be like “it is what it is” or I’d be like “I’m fucking mark hoppus and I just sold out a huge tour where tickets were $650. Who cares.” it wouldn’t keep me up all night. You see what I did there?3 points

Davey called out a bunch of people because they had the audacity to visit Mark’s discord and solely refer to this Jake bloke as just a mod of the discord. Davey swooped in and let us know his real job and how much it annoys him when people visit/talk about the discord without knowing who everybody is.3 points
-
you can also kind of see why they might not have wanted it released. as much as i appreciate it from a fan and historian standpoint, there's a weird undercurrent of sadness running though the footage, especially towards the end. mark's always said the mood on that tour was dour and while that's not SUPER visible, there's an unusual feeling to the proceedings.3 points

Damn I haven't heard this since I got it off Limewire or Kazaa back in the day hahah great memories.3 points
-
the kid at the end sums up why this band has always been super weird about fan interaction. i know he was only like 14 but damn that was some leo dehoe level stuff3 points
-
blink calling it quits after that album and tour is one of the biggest cliffhangers of all time campaigners living in the timeline that got another album straight after that truly are in the best timeline3 points

Can't believe this has been in the shelves for like over 15 years and has never seen the light of day3 points

That’s basically the same as Warped Tour was. Shorter sets for everyone but at least you got to see a lot of bands you were into. of course Warped Tour was also like 1/10th the price and traveled across the country for a couple months so you didn’t have to travel as far to attend. We just need Warped Tour back.3 points

They were going across the world for these tours for months at a time. On the us tour you can at least bring your family to some dates. Don’t underestimate the impact time zones will have on your ability to keep up with your family, if you’re in Europe you’ll only have a couple hour window a day in PST to contact them. Plus ability to communicate is just completely different than 2004. Not only was a phone call the only real option (Skype was starting to emerge but would barely work cross continent), it was also still really expensive to do an international call. Now you have them with their families nearly out of the house plus modern communication it’s way less burdensome to travel the world.2 points

Would you know that if you watched it in January 2005 though? I probably wouldn’t, perhaps that’s naivety though. I think our knowledge of the full situation affects our perception. I don’t see a lot of it as too different from TUC 1&2 except for another layer of maturity to their personalities. edit: in case there were aspects I missed, I was just glancing occasionally in the background not believing it to be authentic. I’ve downloaded the YouTube video to make sure I get the chance to fully dive in.2 points

I'm still holding reservations because PTSD but yeah. It takes 3 to blink tango. Can feel the togetherness is there more2 points

yeah it's nothing ground breaking or revealing. just some nice looking footage that feels honest/unbiased. the urethra chronicles and the MTV specials are cool too but feel more staged2 points
-
watching footage from this era always take me back to high school where my garage band buddy would model his entire personality on Hoppus or Seth from the OC and I would do the same with tom delonge while thinking playing blink on guitar would get me girls when i couldn't even talk to girls even if the guitar playing part worked classic lol2 points

this person says theyre uploading the whole thing n to check back soon2 points
-
none of the footage ripped so far portrays any of the tension/negativity present during that time either. also includes footage of jerry finn and lil chris. you'd think the band would look back fondly upon this and want it out there for the album's anniversary.2 points

I told you all it was Self Titled and got shamed for it.2 points

Happy to say that Edging is growing on me. Thank goodness, it was too sad to think Tom’s comeback was a dud for me. Very catchy, I think I like it.2 points
