Yeah it was very disappointing that he glosses over like seven years of history in a few pages. There’s something uncomfortable there he’s not ready to talk about. extremely underrated blink song. Mark grappling with recognizing that things have to change. He was so clearly on fire in the dude ranch era

I love this, my wife keeps snacks for me on hand because I get hangry. She looks into child psychology for picky eaters to help me deal with my food anxiety. I could totally get uppity that she treats me like a child but A. Its very considerate B. Improves my life and C. She still loves and respects me, so fuck it.

Since Coachella happened the last two weekends I just want to bring back the glorious memory of Blink's surprise 2023 set. I'll never forget watching the live stream and suddenly seeing Mark and Tom waiting around backstage not realizing they were on camera, laughing it up and fucking around, looking like legitimate friends again. Then the show started with Family Reunion, Tom was trying again, and their entire performance was so goddamn good, beyond anything I ever hoped. They were really fucking back. What an incredible way to burst back into our lives. I feel like something "culturally" shifted that day in a way that is super rare, and absolutely propelled the new era in such a rad way. So many people outside of Blink fandom were SOOO happy they were back, it seemed like people were almost surprised to realize they loved Blink and it felt ok to admit it after that show haha.

I really loved this book. Read it in the span of two sittings. Nitpicking, but one thing I was surprised that he didn't touch on was Simple Creatures and the time surrounding that. He has publicly stated in the past that he was in a really dark and depressing state during that time and that project helped him out of it. I would've liked to know more about his mental state during that time.
