  4. Nah, I never defend the outbursts, he’s said some terrible things, and he doesn’t need a public defender either, but when you guys spend entire days arguing with him over some of his opinions that are never too strange, problematic or entirely wrong, it’s crazy to pretend there isn’t a pattern. Like rephrasing the same question or a thing he says in different ways just to push him to the edge? Because you know it’ll get him riled up. It happens every single time. I think both sides need to stop chasing the last word - if everyone just eased off instead of keep going, we wouldn’t be stuck in this eternal return, with the constant deja vu of Diddy becoming the villain and saying awful things to Thongy or Jan. Can’t we really break this cycle?

  5. I could be wrong, but from many years of observing thongrider, I'd guess that his compulsion to argue and continue responding endlessly is similar to Fap's. I don't think thong is intentionally trying to upset him, they're just a really bad combination when they disagree.

  6. Honestly Fap was so off base telling someone to cut themselves or kill themselves non-jokingly and bringing up all this personal shit no one wants to see it needs to be addressed. That shit’s not okay. And no one’s ‘goading’ someone to get a rise, that much, that is nonsense to everyone else having a civil conversation. And no one wants anything to happen to Fap either but that needs to be addressed.

  7. The board’s entire mantra has shifted to coddling and babying Fap and his insanity inducing meltdowns lol

  8. Stop blaming me for Fap's behavior then.

  9. What a wild ride the last 20 pages have been. It's honestly more entertaining than some books I've read. Watching mental illness spill out upon pages of a blink-182 online forum. Just a spectacle to behold.

  10. Everyone knows Fap has anger issues. Thong has purposefully pushed him to the edge on multiple occasions. That doesn’t excuse Faps comments but accountability must be had by Thong as well. It’s genuinely exhausting to witness.

  11. I think I prefer it when people DON'T post suicide suggestions. I like discussing things though, that's kind of what message boards are for. The problem is that you go off on people constantly and then apologize, but don't do anything about it. I do think there are people that like to get a rise out of you and make fun of you, I'm not one of those people.

  12. Typically, the people who yell the loudest about other people being virgins are the actual virgins. Just something to keep in mind, Fap.

  21. Right, this is actually stupid and was just gonna let it slide. No one prodded Fap, he came on and started going off because some comment about an album a week ago. Like the receipts are all there. I'm not gonna be steamrolled over by Diddy because he can't control his emotions, it does him no good either to just lie about it.

  22. Imagine if the roles were reversed and see how biased you are being. Like if Thong or anyone else was on here going crazy on everyone telling them to slit their wrists or w.e. and making fun of their day job, amongst others things they'd be off here in heartbeat. And no, I've never once stooped as low as Diddy has lately and to double/triple down on someone killing themselves or making fun of someone's personal jobs/issues/w.e it may be. If you can't control your emotions because you've been responded to, after you attacked the ever living hell out of everyone, that's on them. Like sure, you can stop responding, but why should that be a requirement here? edit: but yeah sure, add in a post limit or w.e to someone circling around the same phrase or quote or w.e you're saying. Idk how that'd work exactly but it makes sense.

  23. I love it how you can articulate everything i'm trying to say in far better words. Preach.

  24. I do agree with you and yes we all can agree on your word being diplomacy but the only last bone I have to pick is that Thong (and myself to a degree) and others genuinely did find this particular take ridiculous. I do have no problem with you agreeing with it, I'm just saying, I personally was trying not to prod until shit hit the fan and I found the take to be just really bad, genuinely. I realized about halfway in what he was even saying/misinterpreting, but at that point it was late.

  26. Don’t do that. I’ve already condemned that and was the first(only?) person during everything to call a stop to that. So don’t be low and try to act like I’m saying that’s okay. In regards to the overall, @Elisa and @2point5 covered it perfectly so I’ll leave it at that.

  27. Responsibility or blame for what, exactly?

  28. I hear you too, Elisa. I like you a lot - you know I do - but I just can’t agree with you on this.

  29. I don’t read 99% of it. Fap screaming “It’s Common Sense” at every argument he makes while bending over backwards to force it to make sense isn’t my cup of tea.

  30. I don’t think he was doing anything other than simply not wanting to be treated like that or personally attacked but that’s just my opinion.

  31. I think me and Fap agree on most things. We don't argue about many topics. But it's like once in a month we disagree on something and he starts lashing out at me. I've honestly tried to ignore the guy. He doesn't stop. If ignoring him doesn't stop him, I don't know what will. I'm not going to stop sharing my opinion about something just in case Fap happens to disagree. When me and Fap are on the same side we are both probably super annoying about it, we just don't take it out on each other.

  32. I don't understand how anyone has the energy to do this with Fap anymore. It's played out. And telling people to kill themselves and all that? C'mon dude. Gotta be better than that. I hid the couple of posts I saw with it, but didn't have time to go through the entire meltdown.

  33. Absolutely and I’ve admitted so. And I’ve stopped. You, however, have not.

  34. The constant misrepresentation or ignoring of his points just fuels the cycle. Sometimes it might seem fun, but most of the time it's just exhausting, as Dan said.
    1 point
  35. I hear what you're saying, and I agree Fap can sometimes escalate things or miss the tone, like with Thongy's humor. But I still think this time was different. People were deliberately misrepresenting his point or ignoring it, pushing him to repeat himself until he got frustrated and lashed out. It's not about excusing his harsh words, but I think the dynamic of piling on and acting like his perspective isn't clear always plays a big role in how things spiral.
    1 point
  36. After going through nearly 20 pages, I think some of you should stop pretending not to understand his point, forcing him to repeat himself endlessly until he’s exhausted and says harsh (sometimes horrible) things out of frustration. This was especially true in the last discussion.
    1 point
  37. 100% agree that’s why I said something and then he did stop as far as I can tell with that aspect of it so didn’t think more needed to be done. Happy to hear out if you think more should though. I didn’t necessarily mean thong was goading fap here. But saying it doesn’t happen is bull and you know it. Thongs guilty of it. I’ve been too. Plenty of others and you know you are as well and I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to find receipts either so don’t pretend like it doesn’t happen.

  38. I enjoy when we have silly discussions, not seeing him angry. I'm maybe masochistic, but not masochistic enough to actually want this kind of abuse.

  41. It was about+44 and self titled. Just that they were going through losing friends and losing their livelihood doesn't mean they're not part of the luckiest people in the world, but it doesn't mean the idea that they were feeling grief needs to be mocked either.

  45. Good lord what an annoying conversation! Anyone who ever watched the Cheetah Videos and Album Launch can clearly see they were not in some bottomless pit of depression while writing that album. It's right there on tape. They were being hilarious weirdos and living out their wildest creative dreams in a way they hadn't even attempted before. They were still in a strange part of life in their late 20s/early 30s that I'm sure many of us can actually relate to, when family stuff can get weird, friendships fray, mental illness has a tendency to rear its head, they had babies at home which is incredibly beautiful but also incredibly stressful and anxiety inducing especially combined with the guilt of being away so much, the country was newly at war, the pressure and monotony of "being Blink" was getting to them, etc etc etc. It's ridiculous to think they were "miserable" and down in some dark hole at the time, but it's also ridiculous to think they were happy go lucky millionaires chasing a trend. I happen to think it was a very honest and earnest account of all of those feelings. It's strange to me that diehard Blink fans could think it was all one way or the other after 20 years haha.

  46. He had an attention to detail and creativity that can’t be taught. He just knew how to nerd out on that shit and make it crispier than anything else but also a bit innovative. He was really the genius behind the curtain of those times. The whole movement.

  47. Take out your onions and jackit is an appropriate new title for that album. I still play Please take me home and a random song off there about once per month. Funny how this is the only actual blink album that didn’t involve any type of changes/turmoil. I always knew Rammstein was huge but I really slept on giving them a real chance, especially with all these armageddon vibes lately, they are perfect. Sonne really crushes me when that chorus hits. They are so metal. Love them. Billy Joel looks like my coworkers husband too much otherwise I’d love him.
