  2. I was browsing the Blink sub on Reddit yesterday, and came across a guy in the comments of a post claiming to have unreleased footage from the Zane Lowe interview. I messaged him asking if he could share and low and behold he sent it my way. Just a couple clips that didn't make it for whatever reason but super interesting answers they give to a few questions. Dives a bit deeper into some touchy subjects

  3. My father was able to start eating and drinking again over the past week after having a feeding tube for six weeks, and stood on his feet with a walker for a couple seconds today for the first time and I get the blink reunion song this week. Can’t wait for this song

  5. It happened and I didn't know it because Instagram wasn't loading at the arena so we didn't see Travis' post and had no idea DWM and OMT were in the setlist! I was blown away when Tom said "I can't believe I'm doing this, we're playing this song for the first time ever" and it was DWM. The crowd was so wild with the olès, it felt like the song had been out for weeks, not just 24 hours. It was incredible. During Dammit my friends threw me in the air, first time crowdsurfing at a blink show 😂 when Dammit was over everyone was starting to leave, but Mark, Tom and Travis came back on stage and Tom said "this song is about us" and played OMT. Tom sounded great on OMT at soundcheck today when they played it twice so I don't know why his voice cracked and couldn't sing it earlier, but I guess they were really drained at that point, I've never seen Mark and Tom play with this kind of energy and they even exceeded the usual 90 minutes, they played for 105 minutes tonight (!!!) I knew this show was going to be great, but I didn't know it was going to be THIS GREAT. They sounded amazing, then the banter and the stupid things they said. They were really the band we fell in love with when we were younger. It was never like this when I saw them on the untitled tour and all the other times during the first reunion. Italy didn't disappoint, crazy sing along, everyone in the crowd was dancing and moshing, they sang all the riffs lol (on anthem pt 2 it was so comical but I loved it 😂) and I could see that Mark and Tom loved the crowd. They were in a bit of disbelief when everyone sang MTYK and DWM so loud. I bawled my eyes out during all Adam's Song because of Mark's speech, but for the rest of the time I had this huge smile on my face and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world. They have the world on the palm of their hands right now, we're really living one of their best eras. Best show ever of my favorite band ❤ I'm writing here because we're talking about DWM and OMT live, tomorrow I'll post some pics and videos on the tour thread.

  7. this is officially my favorite song of this era. even if there are better songs on the album, i will always associate DWM with how happy i was at the craziest blink show i've ever been to. and it's a staple live song already, i'm sure it will never leave their setlist.

  11. You know the best thing about those clips? Listen to Tom’s voice, that sounds like vintage Tom ffs. It sounds like Untitled Tom 😱 it doesn’t sound like wanky space Tom. Someone hold me

  14. Have you heard this band? Being their fans is like a full time job, we're like a road crew carrying around their emotional baggage for them, and it really shows on days like today, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Hats off to all of you who can articulate how you feel about the new songs, I'm still too emotional. All I know is that they sound even better in the car and they really hit hard. I'm glad I have you guys to share this crazy ride with. Fuck reddit & Italia.

  16. Funny story from today. I had to give one of the biggest presentations of my life today. I had to demonstrate some of our technical stuff to one of our biggest clients based in Asia. We use Microsoft teams at work but what I didn’t know is that client uses google for their meetings. So I click on the link they’ve sent over and my display picture is me with Tom from about 15 years ago. I had to present to the fucking president of one of Asia’s largest supermarkets with this flashing up on the screen whenever I spoke 😂 Not the end of the world and they saw the funny side. The presentation went well too haha

  17. That was the best blink show I’ve seen since way before the reunion, maybe before Untitled? All three of them were all in, they respected the songs and gave it their all. No awkward or forced moments. They didn’t fall back on their crutches (that goes for both Mark and Tom), it all just felt very natural and organic. I feel like I was just transported to an alternate universe where everything I observed was deleted post-2004 and watched a blink show in 2023. The respect for the songs was 100% back and better than it has been in at least 20 years. This being their first show with only a few rehearsals gives me major hope for greatness to come. What the fuck did I just witness?

  18. Just wanna say how great the last couple of months have been with you guys. The build up, the stall updates, the singles, OMT video and the album release. It’s been so fun. We almost lost Mark and blink forever but they’re back and better than they’ve been for 20 odd years. Let’s enjoy this, we deserve this. The album fucking rules.

  19. Its catchy. The video isnt what I expected but Tom trying to grab the spandex guys nuts is fantastic. Tom sounds great, the bass sounds great, cant make out the words much but dont think much of them so far. I like that they’re regaining the balance of Tom as the aggressive / rougher one and Mark having the calmer, warmer side of things - its where his voice is best, because Mark vocally sounds good here too and they need that disparity between them. Cant believe the Ole’s work. There’s classic blink elements here but not on the nose, think the chorus repeats a little too much. Not as good as MTYK but still miles better than Edging. The tom awkwardly hitting on the reporter bit at the end is hysterical.

  20. I cried again while I was listening to OMT this morning, if you think about it, it's crazy that they gave us a song where they admit to their mistakes and sing to each other about real shit that puts them in a vulnerable light. It's very unusual for two grown men to be so direct and sincere on a song about their friendship. I don't even think there are many other artists who wrote a song like this - call it male ego or pride, I don't know. And I don't care if the song is very minimalist or if the lyrics are simple, that's actually what I love about it. If you don't know their history, it may seem a generic ballad or a cheesy way to appeal the general audience, but if you know their history, you know what it means and it speaks straight to your fan heart.

  22. Okay I actually have the album. The mega link I have from this morning is dead, working on a re-upload and will start sending out the link in DM’s to those that liked my post, hopefully 30-45 minutes. I’ll fire off dm’s as I can. DO NOT DM ME, IF YOU DO YOURE NOT GETTING THE LINK. For regular users that aren’t new I’ll just create a thread in special section with the link.

  23. I fucking love them both. OMT is beautiful. Haven’t seen the video yet. Toms voice on the verses sound a little off for me but not enough for me to care but he sounds so good in that chorus. The chorus is gold, I love the one more time after it too and I didn’t like that clip initially. MTYK is fucking madness. I nearly burst into tears when Toms chorus came in. Pure untitled vibes ffs I can’t believe it. I never thought we’d get anything like that again

  26. I just ended a top to bottom listening of this masterpiece on proper earphones. It sounds brutal, amazing and clear. We can talk about production and all -we can express our preferences and whatnot-, but the sound in this record is a fucking bomb. You blast it through good earbuds or earphones and it blows you away. You listen to it in good speakers and you can demolish the whole neigborhood. You play it on the car at top volume and just makes your tyres burn. The songs flow amazingly well. It runs from track 1 to 17 in the blink of an eye. Flawlessly. This deserves to be titled All Killer No Filler (sorry Sum 41). I'm absolutely in love with this record. Now that I've got toaime to have a few consistent spins, it has unveiled all its potential. Even Hurt, with which I was like 'meh' has now my heart. Beutiful and hauting interlude. Absolute carnage of an album. As I said in other post, it's ridiculous how blink can own all the punk-pop scene in just one album. This can be, easily, another rearrangement of the genre standards, as they did in the past -well, if we can put blink in a genre anymore-. It's fun, sad, fierce, mature, experimental, raw and honest. I don't fucking care what media is saying or not about it. The real thing is that only the Stones are ahead blink on the charts. The fucking Stones, people. This is an album for themselves and the fans. Also, I remember when Untitled came out that it was beaten to death, and then, all of a sudden, it unveiled itself like blink's masterpiece for all. I can see this happening again with OMT. I could write a longer post, even dissecting all songs and what not, but Jesus, it's all been said at this point by you, my beloved people. I feel blessed and grateful to have this record right now and be able to share our impressions and passion in this forum. I'd never imagined we would get a blink-182 album with Tom again, and much less with all the grit he has deliviered on this record. Not even expected them to tour again. In fact, after NINE, I was expecting a final announcement calling it quit (and I think they were really close to that, attending to Travis words on the Lowe's interview). Thank God they have got their shit together (the worst part is that Mark had to get sick for this to happen). What a time to be a blink fan, people. We all deserved this afer 20 years of absolure rampage. 20 fucking years. But moreover, Mark, Tom and Travis deserved this.

  28. Fuckkkk! Terrified is sooo good! It’s very riff-heavy but ironically wouldn’t sound out of place on the band’s DeLonge-less California record

  29. I think they made the right choice making the final chorus different. It hits harder by filling in the blanks that the Oles set up in your head from the first two choruses

  31. One More Time is so cheesy and sentimental and earnest and it's absolutely fucking beautiful. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd see the band in a truly honest/trusting/loving place again. They needed to sing these words to each other, and it's one of the best love songs about friendship that I've ever heard, cheesiness and all. The video def made me cry at work. Fuck yeah, I love these guys. Have a great day everybody.

  36. The crowd for Blink, OUTSIDE the stage area. Insane. Some comments from from the Coachella reddit: "Definitely one of the biggest overflow crowds I've seen outside of the stage itself." "holy shit???? has anyone ever seen a sahara crowd be so big?" "Will this turnout finally convince GV that they need to go back to booking rock / alternative!?" "I loved this concert! sang every song word for word and had the time of my life!" "Turns out Blink should've headlined last night." "Was in the front and couldn’t see the crowd, but knew it had to be gigantic based on how loud the crowd was singing Whats My Age Again and All The Small Things." "Everyone was amazing and one of the best times of my life!" "At least they show up on time and put on a great a set for their fans. More than Frank can say" "I am well aware that rock is not a dominant genre. It's not even my dominant genre, but we have a direct example in blink this weekend, that a rock band can kill it and can generate huge excitement headlining, and was better than all 3 headliners."

  37. Holy fuck was it wonderful to see the boys back together acting silly as fuck! I had two friends over tonight and we jumped up and down with joy the entire time. I'm glad I stayed up to watch it. The stage banter is back, Mark and Tom sounded amazing, and progressively through the set, it seemed like Tom was just settling more and more back into it, and I love that for him. Travis was a beast as usual. Seeing the three of them back on stage together exactly like it's supposed to be.. You have no idea what this did for my soul. I will never not love this band! Ever. Dalai Lama kissing booth coachella '23. I'll race you all there ❤🚀

  40. After a few days and several million listens, I can still say I'm so pleasantly surprised and stoked. Sure I have a few minor qualms or things I could imagine being done a little differently (mostly just Tom's vocal treatment at the beginning of OMT), but in general both songs sound incredible and are obviously very well thought out and meaningful. I think OMT intentionally plays on our expectations a little bit- it seems like everybody was conditioned to expect a giant crescendo rock-out moment to come, but instead they say no, this shit is too important and vulnerable to hide behind anything so we're just gonna say what we need to say to each other simply and plainly, and leave you wanting more... ...and then MTYK gave us a whole lot fucking more haha. This is BY FAR the most energized and sharp the band has sounded in 20 years. I genuinely did not think they had anything like this in them anymore. Just a fully united front giving us something that immediately "feels like BLINK" but also giving us some creative and new flavors. When the reunion was announced last year, I was so happy, but it was mostly just for the band's sake. They were back together, Edging was a goofy and light hearted little ditty, they seemed to be real friends again, and that was enough of a happy ending for me... But now, after the tour and these fucking awesome new songs, I still can't really wrap my head around the possibility that... the MUSIC is apparently going to be this good again too!?!?

  41. I’m up. Full of hype. Got 15 more pages to catch up on but just wanted to say I love these songs so much. There is a proper happiness in me that music hasn’t made me feel in I can’t even remember how long. It’s truly great. I was always hyped for the album but fuck. I can’t even describe what I am right now for it. It’s just joy.

  44. I promise you you don't really want to have Mark talking to you and asking questions because he did that to me once and I was so overwhelmed I wanted to cry 😂 I met him with Skye and Jack here in Tuscany in 2012, he asked me if I lived nearby and said that he liked Tuscany, so when I told him that I lived in Pisa, he started asking me about the tower, why is it leaning, if it was true that years ago they used steel cables to straighten it (yes), where to get some good Chianti and for every answer I gave he had 3 or 4 more questions. It never felt like I was being grilled and it will always be my best blink memory, but oh-my-God 😂 Both Mark and Skye gave me a hug at the end of my interrogation and said "you're so sweet". Good family confirmed.

  45. nice guy for sure, full of insight and opinions. sometimes i felt like his relationship to mark verged on parasocial, with his mementos and stories. it's why it makes sense he's the king of the discord now, constantly holding court and responding to each and everything mark says. it's cool, i read it sometimes because it's fun, but it really does feel like a bunch of people waiting with bated breath for mark to show up to give them something to get excited about. real hero worship-y. count me out it's why i value this forum so much. not as casual as the reddit ("does anyone, uh, know the CD tray says viking wizard eyes??"), not as absent of critical thinking as the discord. i do miss davey though! he was fun to have around, and was very nice.
