Am I allowed to be a bit negative here? I'm late and not the first to say, but my god the production/mix is.... dreadful. The song itself is really cool and just the style I wanted but the drums, especially the snare, hurt my ears. Can barely make out the guitar in the chorus
It’s really a shame you weren’t there to let the professional audio engineers know that you cant even hear the guitar. Can’t believe they missed that

Besides Drake and blink I have no idea who any of those are.
Only heard of like three, so it's probably notable that they're on it at all!

Can't believe all these blink fans on a blink board are agreeing that they like the first good Tom release in 20 years. Absolute cult behavior

i will say despite some naysayers i think this may be the most united this board (and potentially the whole fanbase) has ever been on new music. almost everyone agrees this is the right direction
So far, definitely. And that includes Untitled which was not popular with fans at release

I could have predicted lame gatekeepers and who they’d be before release. I’ll never understand that during a time of hype and joy, you’d care about someone having a different opinion to the point of actively trying to discredit them. Toddlers

Lol alright everyone don’t be sheeple and crucify a guy just for not liking these songs. Don’t be a cult
No one is crucifying the guy. He's entitled to his shit hole opinion just like half of you were for the past 7 years

what a mature individual.
What kind of wine are you enjoying with your caviar tonight? Maybe a jazz quartet in the background? Sounds like a delectable evening.
Maybe he doesn't know Tom is back in the band. Reading like mailed-in, generic tombot crying from the previous two album cycles

In the video m, I thought the spring break stage was cool to see as one of their iconic moments and when they cycled through the stages. It reminds me of the guitar hero band editions where the venues would be the most iconic live shows from the bands history. Was making me think about how this band is going to be in the rock and roll hall of fame
Those Matt Skiba and Scott Raynor performances are going to be lit! I could see Scott rejecting though since he's a dumb ass 😂

I've been listening on a really shit earpiece so far.
Just put More Than You Know on in my truck and holy fuck the double bass blasts in the chorus. I don't think it's too much though, it was awesome

serious question, why do people here hate that song so much?
I mean it's not the greatest song in the world by any stretch, but there are far bigger turds than that one on Neighborhoods

Maybe I’m just hyped asf but I feel like the verses of MTYK are some of Mark’s best lyrics in years
Nah, it's legit. His best work in awhile. It's not lost in clunky forced cleverness like it has been lately when he tries to go deep

I think OMT hits so hard because this is a song they wrote for themselves and not for us
And the outside beauty of it is that the lyrics could apply to literally anyone and anything at the same time

Ok now I'm back to One More Time...
I think we may be underestimating the commercial potential on this one. It's simple, catchy, touching, even if you don't know anything about the band. Will be interesting if it goes any where, it wouldn't have been selected as the album title and basically the lead single if the label didn't think it was the ticket. It has potential to break beyond alternative radio.
I always like to follow the chart performance side of things. I'd like to see them break into the radio (not just alt) ONE MORE TIME
