  1. I'll be there tonight too, kinda crazy that after 20 years of listening to them this is the first time I get to see all 3 members. I'd well and truly convinced myself it was likely never gonna happen. @Russel Coight No pressure at all mate but if you feel like grabbing a beer or something before the show I can be in the city by like 5:30
  2. I've got a ticket to both Melbourne shows, still haven't fully decided if I'm actually gonna go to both but I'd be down for a beer
  3. Yep I was notified a bunch, so notifications seem to work that way. It's not a perfect solution but if there's a time you really want to maintain a nested quote at least there's an option.
  4. A little bit of discussion on the topic here: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/460490-manually-added-quotes-should-be-included-when-quoting-a-post/ Looks like this was a change made when the board software went into it's last major version (from 3 to 4) which was a few years ago now.
  5. Good question! I've had a play with this, and it looks like if you use the "Quote" button underneath a post, if that post contains a quote it does seem to remove the inner quote. I'm assuming this is the default behaviour to prevent a huge series of nested quotes which could arguably be very hard to read. That said, I do see the value in nested quotes so I've had a look through the settings available to us and as far as I can tell this isn't something you can control. You can however force this behaviour by highlighting the contents of the post with the quote in it (including the quote) and clicking the little "Quote Selection" button that pops up underneath. Not super user friendly (especially on mobile I imagine) but it does give you a way to do it.
  6. Cheers! Yeah it's been a long time since I posted a photo here, probably about 25kg ago lol
  7. Even better, she's helping to clean them up!
  8. Sorry for the slow response! We got a puppy last weekend so I've been pretty distracted trying to keep various bodily functions from happening on my lounge room floor. I've not had the problems you've mentioned myself but I don't really use the boards on mobile so that could be it. I've been talking to Ghent about doing a bit of a server migration, I'm not happy with the current server configuration I've set up as Ghent needs to reboot the server once or twice a week when it shits the bed so there's something not right there. This is a work in progress and will probably take me a week or two to get done. Definitely a chance that the problems you're seeing are related, so we'll see how it behaves once I've got that done. It's also been quite a while since I did a proper update on the boards, but now that I've rebuilt the dark theme in a compatible way I can do this too which could help if these things are simply bugs with the version we're on.

    Theme Reset

It pleases me to see so many people of culture here. Dark mode is the way!

    Theme Reset

Hi all, The dark mode theme we've been using was a custom built one which is not compatible with future updates to the board software, so needs to be removed. I've put together a new custom theme based on the default one that should remain compatible with any future updates, and have done my best to match the existing dark mode theme. As a result of this change anybody who was using the dark mode theme will have been reset to the default light theme. To switch to the new dark theme just scroll down to the bottom of any page and click the "Theme" button then choose "Dark". If you spot anything that looks weird let me know and I should be able to sort it out.
  11. Yeah any time they show the crowd it's pretty obvious they're getting in to it - they just don't have the crowd mixed in to the audio much if at all.
  12. Strange, I use Gmail and have never had a problem. I'll do some troubleshooting and see if I can find anything.
  13. I'm tempted to get it at some point, though I've not played a Pokemon game that hasn't disappointed me in some way since the old days. Sounds like there's a little more variation in these ones so might give them a go.
  14. I'm really enjoying Ragnarok so far (about 10 hours in) but I don't disagree with you, as far as game mechanics go there's nothing groundbreakingly new about it. It's been long enough since I played the 2018 game that I'm perfectly happy with just being thrust back into that world again but I do hope something new is introduced to change things up a bit soon. One thing that definitely bugs me is the hand-holding, you spend 30 seconds in a new area checking around to get your bearings and Atreus is already flat out telling you where you have to go or what you have to do. With the impressive number of settings available I was really hoping you could turn these comments off but haven't been able to find anything.
  15. Yeah dude I was lucky enough to get one in the very first round of preorders so I've had it for a while now, love it. I'm bubblesnout
  16. Nah I was always a Playstation guy but switched to PC-only gaming years and years ago until I bought back into consoles with the PS5. Might just need to borrow my brothers PS3 some time.
  17. I think the problem I had and probably a lot of other people had was looking for "GTA with cowboys". While it has that Rockstar DNA throughout it's really nothing like GTA. Masterfully told story. I just wish there was a way I could play RDR1, never touched it and no way to play it on modern consoles. Could try emulating it I guess but I'd be surprised if that goes well.
  18. Man I only just got through RDR2 a month or so ago. Started it a couple of times over the last few years and gave up like 5-10 hours in since it was so slow, really glad I stuck with it this time 'cause it really is a masterpiece.
  19. Just played through the FF7 remake and the Yuffie DLC. I never had much of a connection to the original but I really enjoyed the remake, I often struggle with the difficulty level of Final Fantasy games but it always felt fair and balanced, and the combat system was snappy and always fun. Probably not going to start anything new now since the new God of War comes out in like a week, definitely playing that release day.
  20. Still my favourite band, and this is my favourite type of track from them. Love it.
  21. Probably an even worse seat but got a ticket for the first Melbourne show too!
  22. Just got a ticket to the second Melbourne show! No pit tickets and my seat is pretty far back but don't care, I'll be there. Couldn't get a ticket for the first show but I'm going to keep trying.
  23. You heading to the first Melbourne show? I missed the fan presale so I'll be hoping to get lucky tomorrow, considering trying to get a ticket for both.
  24. Yeah I've only recently started actually proxy-ing via CloudFlare, it helps a little but the biggest performance bottleneck we have is on our own backend with database reads/writes. Continuing to tune things as best I can!
  25. Hi everyone, just wanted to make a post to be transparent about the boards at the moment. We are unsurprisingly seeing a significant increase in traffic, so I have increased the resources on our hosting server which should keep things running a little better. Obviously increasing the resources is going to increase our costs, so to compensate I have made the ads across the boards a little more aggressive. When doing so I noticed that it placed a big nasty ad right up the top under the logo which I've since disabled, it might just take 30-60 minutes before it disappears for those of you who are still seeing it. I will do my best to manage the traffic over the coming days, if anybody has any questions or concerns just hit me up! Blink is back, baby!
