I was at the Radio X session it was never meant for Radio just a private thing for some lucky fans. Only played the same songs again. Nothing special.

Oh right, thanks for the extra info. Did you win a ticket in the competition?

  2. So is this acoustic session on Radio X happening? It's meant to be at 12.30pm UK as far as I know, which is in 1 minute. But I'm tuned now and they're playing Nirvana and there's been no mention of Blink at all.

  3. Holy hell I am so hungover. Both shows were awesome, first was better in my opinion.

Second show me and or two others was shouting out for Wendy Clear, I think Mark started playing the bass line but then said they weren't gonna do it.

Really enjoyed it though, setlists weren't groundbreaking but I liked ending on Josie.

  4. Tonight there are 2 separate acoustic shows, at 7pm and 9pm UK time - so midnight and 2am Eastern respectively.  Neither will be broadcast live anywhere as far as I know. Got my tickets for both...

Then tomorrow at 10am UK (3pm Eastern) Blink is appearing on Radio 1 and that should be broadcast live.
Then again tomorrow night at some point between 7pm-10pm (midnight-3am Eastern), Blink should be on Radio 1 again (small part of me things this might just be a rerun of the recording earlier in the day though, seems strange that they would do 2 separate recordings for Radio 1 on the same day)
Then finally they are doing another radio spot at Radio X on Thursday, at 12.30pm UK (5.30pm Eastern) - this will again be broadcast live

Jesus, I hadn't checked - assume he was maybe 14/1 or something.

Might be worth an E/W then.

At that price I reckon it is. Considering he just got 40+ goals this season, wouldn't be at all surprised to see him bag one or two during the group stages, even in such a tough group.

I must confess I'm slightly biased here as he's probably one of all-time favourite non-Celtic players, but still.

Short odds, plays in a piss poor team in a pretty tough group - can't see it happening really if I'm honest, wouldn't bet more than a fiver as an outsider.

    Short odds? He's 40/1 ffs

Agreed about the tough group, but an EW bet at 40/1 is a great shout for a player like Ibra. Most firms paying 1/4 the odds 4 places, you probably only need to get 3, maybe 4 goals to finish top 4 on the scoring charts.

No Worries for doubting, this forum can all be hear say most the time. I was also the person last Tuesday to break the news of the acoustic performances in the UK and the label/album/tour announcement dates last month if you doubt my cred. I am slightly in the loop within the camp ?

We flew business class! Also got on the Guestlist for tomorrow as Matt appreciated me flying out to Austin. But I'm talking way to much now. JetLag Kicking In?

Awesome...if I see you tomorrow I'll say hi

  8. I saw Money Monster last night. I've been a big fan of Jack O'Connell for a while, and he was great in this also. Strong cast, besides O'Connell there is George Clooney and Julia Roberts. If you haven't heard about this film, it's about a guy (O'Connell), who has lost every penny he owns, trying to get revenge on the stock market tipster (Clooney) who led him to invest (and lose) everything. A tense hostage standoff ensues. If you like suspensful thrillers (Phone Booth, The Negotiator etc.), you will like this. It hardly reinvents the wheel but what does these days? 7/10

  9. Get in, R*ngers playing away at Motherwell in the League Cup group stages. Definitely a chance of them finishing 2nd in that now.

Also, finalised list of Celtic's potential CL 2nd round qualifying opponents confirmed, looking forward to this one big time:

Apparently we're looking at Rogic at the moment (£7mil apparently). Can't say I know much about him to be honest.

Nice to see us get a bit of early business done with Xhaka. Now if we can get Benatia and a striker I'll be chuffed to buggery.

£7m? Add a zero to the end and maybe we can talk...

Seriously though he's one of my favourite 3 players we've got at the minute, he's an absolute force of nature. He's young, powerful, scores a shitload for a midfielder, creates goals, has the perfect attitude, great work rate. Fucking love the big Aussie bastard. It was his 92nd minute 0-1 winner away at Killie which made me truly fall in love with the man

  11. Barton vs Brown will be a big anticlimax. Brown was so poor for us last season, was disappointed to hear Rodgers mention him specifically as a player he's admired from afar for a long time. In my opinion Brown should be on the bench and we should have our youthful superstars like Rogic, Biton, Christie, Roberts etc in the middle of the park.
