  1. Scholes is an incredible player. Whilst I prefer Xavi (my fav player of all time) for giving Barça/Spain the tiki taka rhythm, I appreciate Scholes so much. Such a shame for England he got shipped out on the left for the Lampard/Gerrard love-in.
  2. Goal - Pedro Assist - Xavi Goal - Messi Assist - Iniesta Goal - Villa Assist - Busquets How can you stop that?
  3. Every team needs a scumbag/destroyer. Also the Makelele role should now be called the Busquets role. He is going to be looked back on as a tactics changer in years to come, an evolutionary step forward for a holding midfielder. The boy's 22 years old and keeping the Argentine captain out of his favoured role.
  4. ^There's no holding player in that front 6. Anyway Barça did what they have done all season, play the best football and destroy all teams who try to beat them at attacking football. A lot of English people got held up in their performance against Mourinho's kicking team and assumed that was the only way they could play, but the carousel was in full flow last night. Xavi is the best player in the world to watch for 'doing a job' in any team in any sport. The consumate professional who will stick to the system and play his roll perfectly. All the goals were fabulous, Rooney was brilliant, VDS <3 the man for the Fulham days and it's sad to see him go. Glad to see Fergie came out and tried to play, but he had no chance if Barça turned up. They showed up. 2009 - Messi is less complete than Ronaldo, he's not great in the air. Messi doesn't score against English teams. 2011 - Messi can't score on English soil.
  5. Really can't wait for the final now I've finished uni exams. It's going to be brilliant. Tactically it's fascinating, Barça essentially play two different formations depending on if they have the ball or not (4-1-2-3 without, 3-3-3-1-0 with it). And they're up against a team that wants to play 4-4-2 but will get dominated if they do. Obviously I want Barça to win, but I wouldn't begrudge this United team a win if they can do it.
  6. A footballer (welsh, family man, 12 times) is suing Twitter...I can't Imogen why...
  7. Their chairman said they're not going to be buying a lot of players, but didn't say about spending. So I would expect 3 huge signings and a lot of selling.
  8. Amazing atmosphere away at Birmingham, such a good three points. If we beat Arsenal at home it will be a good season, a draw or a loss and it's been decent. Glad to see us winning away though, first time ever in person for me
  9. 0-3 lol, what a joke Kille are.
  10. Game 22 of the season for me tomorrow and only one to go, I hate this time of year
  11. Richards looked so sad after he swore, like his mum was going to shout at him. I really hope somehow Man City end up with Ibrahimovic, then they would have the ultimate in cocky strikeforce.
  12. Did Micah Richards swear, I could have sworn he said "look at the fucking fans" anyway I love Super Mario Balotelli ahahahahaha "I play shit"
  13. Their behaviour against Sociedad and Levante was disgusting wasn't it? Surrounding the ref all the time... Congrats to City, hope to see them challenging for the title next year along with Arsenal actually giving it a go.
  14. I would like to point out 2 of those decisions where we're surrounding the ref were a disgrace. Nevland, on the pitch for 2 mins, 1 trip - red card. Duff almost gets his leg broken - no card, so danny goes in hard next challenge, red card.
  15. Oh we surround the ref loads, our fans don't come out saying we don't do that. We foul, we cheat, we'll do anything to win. Decisions go for and against us. I don't deny that. I'm not claiming there is a conspiracy against my team. Anyway, fair play to Fergie - built another great team. Glad the chavs didn't win it.
  16. It was a clear peno, but you don't surround refs or get big decisions (or so we're told) so to see both was surprising West ham are down, Wigan are probs down too.
  17. Man Utd never surround the referee hahahahaha. And they never get big decisions.
  18. Fucks sake, someone score a playoff goal already!
  19. 1 year ago today:  132 years and counting
  20. Barça's use of the sweeper is so magical, and their running is genius. Such great players using tactics that fit them so perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIw-J60gsZM#ws
  21. The Huddle it's so awesome. Disgrace.
  22. That was retarded, he kinda got sucked into the fans, after getting close. Bizarre red.
  23. Disgrace! A fan just assaulted Neil Lennon on the pitch while Celtic celebrated a goal. Congrats to Barça by the way who wrapped up the title tonight.
  24. Incredible record, but he blatantly paid the ref to give that penalty at the end, such a joke of a decision. Spurs are bellends. If they don't get 5th they might pip us in the fair play and qualify for the Europa League, gah this sucks getting so many yellows against Liverpool.
