edit: alright, so it was only 4 songs again.. to be precise it was their set until violence. i'm pretty sure right now that blinks management wouldnt let any tv station send more then 4 songs or so of them live. cause on rockpalast you usually get the full concerts. which means they have the full blink show recorded somewhere in great quality and we cannot access it. sucks. but at least dumpweed, feeling this, wmaa and violence were great.

holy crap i just found out wdr will be airing a LOT more of what they recorded during area4 festival this year tonight. german time 0:45am-4:45am. here's what they write:

bad thing is it starts in 15min, and i dont have a digital recorder. it will even be broadcasted in fullHD, but all i can do and will do is record it analogue. so if someone with a decend recorder reads this within the next 10min PLEASE go record it. i think we might get some great stuff since it's rockpalast!

lol seriously this was probably the worst live version i've ever seen of dammit. and that means a lot since they play it every show. really i feel sorry for everyone who has had to witness one of toms drunk shows..
when i think about how thight they were performing at hamburg this seems like 2 different bands to me -
this picture is so beautiful and still makes me sad. with travis leaving at last it makes me realize that the blink magic in europe has come to an end. what an awesome tour. thank you mark tom and travis for two great shows, see you next time!

i thought tom had trouble with the high parts in not now?
not at all. the worst part of not now live is always the first verse ("come here, please hold my hand, lord now"). what doubles the problem is that its also a solo part with like only drums and vocs. you can almost feel the tension on stage when tom sings that part. even in marks face. its like "god let this be over soon". and like i said i wouldnt even blame tom for that. i'd have my problems singing that deep and my voice's a lot deeper. the rest of the songs actually pretty good i think.

okay i watched the whole thing and maybe it's a bit mean to judge tom of being drunk - we dont even know if he was. he did really good on some of the song like down. i think the main problem is that songs like not now or violence are just not right for his voice. like way to deep on some parts. i think they should somehow rearrange them. somehow mark parts always seem to fit his voice. but i guess his voice is also way more flexible

man those are great vids. BUT they have done better shows on that tour. like i said, it all seems to depend on whether toms drunk or not. on the first show i went to at highfield he seemed obviously drunk and his singing was terrible most of the time. mark seemed pretty pissed at him at some point.. on the second one in hamburg he seemed sober or at least LOT less drunk and to put it simple it was the BEST concert i've ever been to. so much fun, you could almost say tom was "good" at singing and mark an tom had some pretty damn funny conversations, no tensions between them or anything. i dont get it why tom doesnt realize that. i mean i would be nervous as shit, too, before playing to 100000 people but even he must have realized in some of the vidoes from that tour that he does a lot better when hes sober.

holy shit, the guys of rockpalast really know to do their stuff. they also did that awesome interview with tom, and that pro shot is really amazing. both in video and sound. i wish they'd do the blinkumentary live shots too, cause i bet handsome won't deliver such quality..

just got back from highfield festival where blink was headlining yesterday night and it was awesome! i mean of course it was i havent seen them in 6 years, but also the crowd went nuts in like every single song and we were all having so much fun. only thing that sucked was that right before blink a storm came up and it began to rain like crazy. thats probably also the reason they had to cut the drumsolo which really sucked for me as a drummer. but at least they were allowed to play their full set (before they came on stage someone from the festival management told the crowd that they might have to cut blink if it got worse, they also had to interrupt the band right before blink and take down the video screens which must have sucked for the people in the back).
edit: i wrote something about the chemistry between mark and tom not being good on that show but i decided ill just see how it will be in hamburg tomorrow before i start a giant discussion on here. maybe one of them just had a bad day or something or i just misinterpreted stuff

heres what i posted in the hamburg topic - i feel good about having this one here edited cause everything was fine there.
this show was soooo sooooo awesome. i have no clue what was going on with them on sunday but yesterday - holy shit i've never had so much fun on a concert. they were even better then when i saw them in 04 and i thought they were really good back then (except for that wembley bootleg). chemistry between mark and tom was very good too, i noticed mark seemd to let tom speak his shit to an end and didnt cut him off continuously. tom sang absolutely amazing most of the time, better then in any videos i've seen of them since the reunion and you could clearly see they were having so much fun. maybe because it must have been the biggest blink solo concert on this tour so far. size was like a little festival but fully packed with blink fans. i guess you can clearly hear when tom is sober and when hes drunk. i bet yesterday he was sober and sunday he must have been pretty drunk cause those were like 2 different persons. i was really a little disappointed on sunday and mark seemd pretty pissed of at tom at some point, but yesterday they seemd like best friends again. maybe thats even a good sign that they can have little arguments again and then go back to best friends.but hey one thing: how much bad luck can one person have? i went to 2 concerts in a row and those two concerts seem to have been the only ones without drumsolos?? i mean wtf imma drummer. that wouldve made my life complete Wink after anthem pt.2 i screemed DRUMSOLO as loud as i could and everyone (even travis) was looking at me. then someone joined in and we started a "travis travis travis.." which led to travis and mark discussing with daniel and some other dude but it seems like they were really running out of time so they couldnt do it

the shows on pukkel and lowlands might be special as blinks not in a headlining spot and only have an 1hr spot in between other bands. means theyll have a different setlist and sure wont be able to bring their full live production. i feel bad for you guys as you most likely wont see the upside down drumsolo
on the other hand i dont like their poppy pink light show anyways so maybe you guys will be lucky to see something as pure as this -
ok according to their myspace sites it's all time low at 6pm and thrice at 7pm. but hey, THRICE! how awesome is that??

not really close, but in germany u can go anywhere you want in about 6hrs. maybe area 4 festival would be your choice. thats about 270km from frankfurt..

sooo so excited to see them the first time since 2004! only thing that sucks (well, at least a little) is that they are going to move the festival next year to a different location. the place it was held until this year wars like 20 minutes away from my university. now it's a 1:45 hrs drive but whatever. i still remember travelling about 10hrs by train to see them in '04

wow those msg videos are amazing! just dl'ed the hd versions, audio is great too. he only tracked them a bit fucked up. maybe if i manage to merch them again i'll retrack and do a quality audiorip

hm, maybe if zikomos is right and someone really died before the show then that is why they didnt talk much and mark tried to keep toms toilet humor down - maybe they tried to be as respectful as possible.. woud make sense. cause in the vids of the other shows they really seem to joke around a lot and stuff.
