  1. I'd love a guest appearance by Yelawolf on the new record. With Travis or without he's my favorite hiphop artist right now by far. Need to thank Travis he made me recognize the guy
  2. Green Day has become one of the worst poprock bands around these days. Everytime I hear one of their pseudo-anthemic all same sounding pop songs on the radio I have to change the station. Pretty much like Nickelback (maybe even worse). Rise Against are on their way to become such a band as well. It's a shame really. These bands would fit the topic "name a band that sold out more than blink" perfectly. Blink at least kept the guts to experiemt on their records. Neighborhoods - even though I'm not the biggest fan of that record - was the perfect proof they didn't sell out like those bands..
  3. The funny thing about yellowcard is they don't seem to have their own hardcore fans (blink is the complete opposite) but everyone enjoys their music anyway. I wouldn't call myself a yellowcard "fan" either. But when I look into my iTunes statistics their WYTTSY album is my most played album in 2011 - far before neighborhoods. I was quite surprised when I found out.. I wonder why that is. Probably because their records are usually not very complex but still strong from first to last track. Easy listening. I would call Neighborhoods clearly a better album then WYTTSY but the latter has about twice the plays in my iTunes..
  4. I really dig surface of the sun - song's got balls!
  5. to be fair, noone knows if it's really all that crazy to believe in ufos or extraterrestrial life. actually most scientists these days say it's rather unlikely that there is NO life other then on earth. so who knows if we have been visted or not.
  6. In 2010 i saw blink and sum41 on the same festival. Not the same day though. Thought both bands were pretty shitty. At least least blink was a lot better when I saw them 3 days later on their own concert. And MUCH better this year. And blinks new album is awesome. Sum41 has just gotten worse and worse both live and on CD.
  7. I like his pants. The first time in years. Thanks for the pics, they're awesome!
  8. Mark never had shares in MacBeth afaik Mark and Tom had Atticus together, both sold their shares and it's owned by some "evil big" company now (quoting Mark) MacBeth was always Toms thing, just as Famous was always Travis thing
  9. blink without travis is not blink (anymore). Even as a die hard fan I would not visit a show with tom and mark and some fill in drummer. I mean it's blink without the only really talented live musician Still I don't blame Travis at all. I rather blame the band for even considering touring without him. I mean how fucked up is that? After seeing blink live all you hear amongst people leaving the venue is "man their drummer is so awesome". Even if they hire one of the most talented live drummers (josh freese would be my guess) he cannot replace this HUGE part of the blink live show that Travis is.
  10. wow I've expected much worse .. He's been A LOT worse on that in the past
  11. oh nice. from oliver to blinkumentary
  12. holy shit! I never thought I'd say this again but Tom looks GOOD !! imho he went from the ugliest blink to the best looking again just by losing some weight and not dressing like a douche
  13. check out Nothington! My band has been playing support for them 2 times when they were over here in Germany. Great guys, great music. Totally underrated. It's not really pop-punk, more of a serious vibe. But still some really good punkrock/alt
  14. especially since the last one was their best since ocean avenue imho. seen them two times last year (after they disbanded shortly before the concert I had tix to back in '06 I guess) Lots of energy is all I can say. And they seemed so thankfull that everyone was still enjoying their music after all these years. Also - less kids then I'd expected. I didn't feel as old as I thought I would
  15. wow i really enjoyed that! I guess they are the only band right now that can put out new music which gives you a 2001 feeling and still doesn't sound cheap or boring. I bet they are taking over a LOT of the newer blink fans right now. Honestly if I was 15 again this is the music I'd want to listen to haning out with my friends. Funny thing is that WAS also the music I used to listen to back then. Hard to believe that Yellowcard is still capable of putting out the same quality pop punk they did on ocean avenue back in 2003.
  16. i think he tries to hard when his performing is somehow being broadcasted.. most of the shows i've seen him he was pretty solid. also on a lot of bootlegs on youtube he is ok. but when he knows that the show is streamed or on television he probably gets to nervous to perform at least solid. i think thats just human even though it's a pitty for us the fans
  17. little off topic: what is that song starting 0:30? it's a video from the travis mixmaster mike show last friday and the lyrics are a little hard to search for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8CFZzG22Tg#ws
  18. wow I've just rewatched the 2003 album launch. they were indeed a different band back then. not that this is big news, but it hasn't been this clear to me before. the 2003 blink is the band that made my youth the way it was. the 2012 blink is not bad. but it's a different band. hard to believe how much 9 years can change. I feel like I haven't changed as much like they did. even though I'm younger. weird.
  19. well it's cool that he got the transplants logo - I have this exact picture as a poster hanging next to me. But tattooed on the head?? seriously?
  20. thats not the way he sang back then. something's very wrong with that video. just look at the drums - theres no mics on them. meaning it's playback, probably prerecorded. pretty sure a lot of stuio magic happend to his vocals before airing. just search for youtube bootlegs of shows from the 2001 era - he has never been the best singer.
  21. I said that right after the reunion. And everyone was like "why do you care what they wear??". But their style was part of who they were. And it made them look like a band as they were all wearing them. These days they just don't seem to fit together (which sadly is the truth probably). Of course it's not just because of the way they dress, but it all contributes to it..
  22. well i guess it really depends on what show you went to back then. I saw them on their 2nd last show they played (I think) and it was a lot better then I'd expected. They were on top of their game really. Strange enough when you see the wembley bootleg a few days earlier which is horrible in my oppinion. On my show you wouldn't have guessed they were about to break up. Also a lot better then both times I've seen them since the reunion.
