Him forgetting the words made me laugh. When he just stopped for a second and was like "...shit". I lol'd.i think him forgetting the words made me not like the performance. im pretty used to the yelling and stuff but forgetting the words AND sounding "OK" is where i draw the line haha.
-
Haha I'm probably just thinking of movies then.
-
I'm pretty sure yes. Then again, I hardly watch TV. Someone else here would know better than me. It just seems like I've heard all that during the day before.
-
Well I'm just surprised because like juice182 I thought the UK was more lenient with that stuff that the US. Guess not.
-
Really? I thought it was pretty good. He voice sounds higher to me, like, almost pre-AVA sounding. I know it wasn't perfect. I guess I'm just getting so used to Tom's voice that when I hear a mediocre performance as opposed to an absolutely awful one, I consider it good. Haha.
-
That... is a weird rule.What?
You're not allowed to say curse words on TV before 9 or 10pm (can't remember which.) It's called the watershed.
Can't say it's a bad one. I'm all for keeping the TV clean, but it just seems odd. Haha.
-
I lol'd so much at that.Hahah at rock show at 1:15
Tom really sucked in that video. He messed up the guitar riff so much. But Mark sounded awesome. Usually it's always Tom's voice I notice, but for some reason I thought Mark sounded extra good in that video.
I thought Tom sounded good in Violence though.
I wish someone would upload Dumpweed!

3:52 Lol at Tom
LOL

That is one of my favorite videos ever. Ahaha.reminds me of when he got mad at the kid with the laser
-
Yeah, I was gonna say, his voice has actually changed. Not because he wanted it to. It probably really frustrates him that he can't sing blink songs like he used to, and how people expect him to.His voice has just changed...That is all. Even his talking voice is a lot less nasally that it used to be.
-
Haha, this would help too....or Tom tries to sing.
-
I agree with MSandt on this one. Tom needs to tone down the drinking. I'm not saying stop completely, but he's being ridiculous. He's already not a good singer, he doesn't need to make it worse by getting hammered. Luckily on this tour it seems he's been singing really well at a lot of dates. I'm not gonna pretend I know the reason, but I'm gonna guess he was sober, or at least less drunk (I kinda doubt he's ever truly sober on stage) at those shows.

I totally know what you guys are talking about. Just standing in the front at a huge show is worse than being in the center of a mosh pit at a death metal show. It's worth it for a little while though, until you just can't stand it any more. Haha.I got right up front too and couldnt bare staying there, it was so hot, it was hard to breathe at times, plus the crowd were pushing so hard that we were falling over and getting trampled on, which is funny cause ive been to plenty of metal and death metal gigs getting the shit kicked outa me, but i couldnt manage this lol. . so i went to the band and found a spot where i could see everything.

Whoa. Hearing Tom consistently sound good in a bootleg is extremely awesome. This never happens.
-
Yeah. This. Exactly. It's a lot easier to notice missed notes and weird things when sitting at a computer watching raw vids than during the excitement of the show.
The thing is, Tom has ALWAYS been a bad live singer. Even back in the day he was fucking up. The only difference is now his voice is lower so he actually has technical problems with the old songs.
And Mark's not a very good live singer either. He doesn't mess up, but his voice comes off flat and non energetic on videos IMO.
It's what makes blink, blink. I don't even care. As long as Tom tries I'm down with it.
-
Tom sounds much better in person in my opinion. I've seen AVA twice and saw blink a year ago, and thought he sounded great every time. This was awesome.
Tom sounded so much higher pitched in voice than i thought from youtube vids. lol.

That was a really good one. I couldn't help but notice that the reviewer is pretty young though. Like, my age. Lolz. This review Travis posted on twitter is better:

Its Leeds btw.

Whoa, I didn't realize the barrier put people so far back. When I saw blink in September I was closer to them than that and I was behind like 10 rows of people.
Of course sometimes cameras mess with perspective.
-
I think if they played it down a step and had Mark sing the low part of the verse it would sound great.i thought tom had trouble with the high parts in not now?
I got that idea a long time ago from a fake live performance of Not Now that was put up years ago. They dropped the song down a step and it made it almost sound like Mark was singing the first part. Haha.
-
It is. And it's only happened to me with like 30 people at a time. Not 80,000.Hearing the crowd singing your songs back must be the best feeling everAnd I want to see Josie vids now. Haha.
Also, I gotta agree with everyone who's saying that this isn't blink's best since the reunion. Everyone's only saying that because it's pro recorded. Tom sounds way better in a crowd video from the show I went to last September. It's great to hear it in such good quality, but the quality of Tom's singing is far from his best.
I think Mark should sing the lower parts in Not Now. 'Cause it'd be easier for him, and sound better, plus it would be a cool "live bonus" like how Tom sings the Dammit chorus.i think the main problem is that songs like not now or violence are just not right for his voice. like way to deep on some parts. i think they should somehow rearrange them. somehow mark parts always seem to fit his voice. but i guess his voice is also way more flexible -
Wow, I can barely even handle being in the front at the main stage of Warped Tour, and that's nothing compared to the crowd in these vids. Must have been pretty epic though. My girlfriend was in the first row, and said it was fucking intense. She ended up alone there coz one of her friends fainted and the other decided to leave coz she was feeling anxious. She said the crowd was fucking horrible lol, but no way she would faint/leave haha. She also said she had the BBC cameras in her face the whole time so I guess she made it to the videos.

Anyone know what the biggest show blink ever played was? After seeing the crowd in these videos it made me curious.
-
It made me incredibly happy to see that Tom looked like he was genuinely having so much fun when they were playing Stay Together For the Kids. Ugh seeing all these videos gets me too anxious for new blink material! haha.
-
Maybe I shouldn't have watched that because I now I'm even more impatient to see the blinkumentary.

2009 was probably the most exciting time to be a blink-182 fan.
Little did we know all the excitement was basically for nothing.
