Love my dudes in ATL. Glad to see they’ve got some votes already. I feared I was gonna be the only one

Paramore has grown on me so much these past couple of years. Love Hayley’s voice, easily voting for them. I have nothing against Rancid but they don’t make me feel anything

What I like about this tournament thingy is that I get inspired to check out bands/tunes I’ve never cared to look into earlier. These Weasel dudes turns out to be quite nice

NH was the record that got me into blink in the first place. It’s still one of my favorites.

Listened a lot to The wonder years in high school. Haven’t been following them much since but they’ll always have a tiny place in my heart.

Neck deep is a nice listen once you get used to Ben Barlows voice. Took me a long while but they’ve grown on me quite a lot

Yeah it's kind hard to pick for TSSF because to me all four albums have a distinct style that's different. My personal fav is Under Soil and Dirt but I enjoy them all.
Exactly how I view it as well

Need album recommendations for the following:
Saves the Day
Lagwagon*
MxPx*
The Story So Far*
The Queers
Sugarcult*
Neck Deep
The Mr. T Experience
Fenix TX
Jawbreaker
Sell me on these bands.
* means I’ve heard occasional songs and thought they were okay but never sat down and listened to a full album.
I support Cheerios’ The story so far recommendation, but if you should happen not to enjoy What You Don’t See I’d still give Proper Dose a go because they’re really different but both are great records.
for Neck deep I’d go for their newest one.

Yeah, age for sure, but also the fact that bands from that era like Saves The Day, Brand New, TBS or MCS were pretty big in the UK but always played small shows in mainland Europe.
Totally! I have to actively look for these kind of bands to find them. Lots of them have slipped under my radar. Most people I know have barely even heard of blink

I found their music incredibly annoying, main dudes voice especially. And their videos made me cringe at the time.
Fair enough. I’ve always liked his voice but can see why it’s not for everyone

Top ten as in favorites or as in bands you don’t necessarily like but still think deserve to be on a top ten list because of what they have done?

All joked aside, I've never really liked NFG, I don't know why and god knows I've given them a lot of chances, but I just can't put my finger on it.
Same!

Let's be honest, we all wish they weren't still making music at this point, blink included. Like it goes from "there's hints of old them in there!" if they, understandably, aren't able to evolve anymore, then it gets to **this is endangering their legacy bad..**
At least, I've been starting to slightly even like prime blink/green day less, slightly, because of how complacent and boring they've gotten in their later years, musically, just collecting checks and not carrying on any legacy at this point
I understand your point but I don’t really feel the same way. I still enjoy some of their newer stuff and I still think it’s exciting enough to follow them. Though I do find it frustrating that they put out so much trash when I’m certain they could make much better stuff if they just put some more passion into it. GD proved that they could with the latest record they released as The Network, which in my opinion was surprisingly nice.

New single:
I honestly don’t like this sound at all. Sounds like a washed out 21st cb song to me. I’m glad they’re still around and making music and all but this type of songs are just so lame.

This one is so fab -
It deserves a proper listen though!

I couldn’t hear much difference between the original Love story and the re recorded one, although there’s no doubt that her voice has matured and has more depth to it now.
I don’t really want to admit it but I still sort of prefer the original? My first thought is that the fragility(?) of her younger voice fits the song better. But maybe it’s just due to nostalgia, idk. Nicely done anyway!

Seems like he did. But hard to say if he’s just throwing words around or if there’s any actual meaning to it, I dunno

It's by far my least favorite record by her, which makes me want to hear a rerecording more. To me it's her one album that has a straight up target demo that I was never a part of. I was a fan of hers before this album and I kind of viewed this one as a mainstream sellout at the time.
I get what you mean. Have you followed her from the beginning of her career? Fearless was the first album I heard by her so I always forget that there was anything before that haha
