Quick update!
Went to that photo exhibition in Paris and it was great (got the book as well!)
Dave was in Paris on Monday for two signings in two record stores (didn't go as I had plans to get to the book on Wednesday) ; and hopefully he would attend the 1st day of his photo exhibition.
Dave wasn't in Paris on Wednesday for the 1st day of the exhibit and unfortunately I couldn't get the book signed
But still it was an amazing exhibition and the book is super cool!

Just got "The Complete Fun Boy Three" boxset that they released in 2023 (probably the sickest boxset for an artist/band in my opinion).
The musicianship, the lyrics, the harmonies everything is excellent and been listening to a lot of material from that boxset!

That iconic golfball press photo was taken on that day at the MTV Austin Sports and Music Festival and Scott is wearing a black shirt and not that white MTV promo shirt, makes sense now that it's not Scott in that interview haha

Just to let you know, MTV had built a 200 foot snowboarding hill and jump for competition the day before. So we found Tom, and headed over to it. On the way they happened to tell some important person where we were going. They then proceeded to get on their walkie-talkie, and to make a long story short, by the time we got to the ramp, MTV was there with a couple of cameras, they had mats for us to slide down on, and they took us to the top on an eleveator. They then did a little interview, threw an eye-cam on me and we slid down. With a small pause to make sure we had survived, they resumed the interview. The MTV Live guy whose name starts with a C, then said "Hey, where's that other guy," and I got a few words in on camera.

My music documentary came out nearly 3 years ago (released on 17th October 2022) 😃
A little bit of context first off : I've been friendly with Ian (the OG guitarist of Home Grown) since 2017 and during the pandemic where everything was stuck, I just said to myself : why not do a couple of music documentaries and heavily focus on a particular band. Ian accepted to participate and here is a music documentary for all of the OG Home Grown fans.
We heavily focus the conversation on being the original guitarist of Home Grown and being part of the line-up of the band during the That's Business, Wusappanning and Act Your Age era (basically 1994-1998). I did so much research, digging deep in the archives, and ask not the obvious lazy questions that a music journalist would ask.
Hope that you enjoy the music documentary and learn a ton of new stuff about Home Grown ❤️
I also found since the music documentary was released, sharing a decent music video version of Surfer Girl!!!

I briefly shared a band rehearsal space in LA wt Scott several years ago (when he was drumming for The Wraith) and of course, couldn't help myself from fan-girling out at least a bit when I inevitably ran into him. I brought up how the early blink stuff was so influential to me and so many others and while he was certainly gracious, I did register a pained look in his eyes while talking about it. I left him alone after the one encounter.
