  1. My sister’s wedding is the weekend after the Chicago show. That would’ve been terrible… missing my sister’s wedding for a blink show.
  2. I feel like I did during the first reunion. I’m surprised. And I’m honestly more hopeful this time around. I dunno. This one feels more authentic already. Maybe the fact we’re not waiting 2 years for music is there biggest indicator. When I saw AVA last year Tom dedicated Rite of Spring to Mark. I wonder if they were already discussing shit back then. I’m just so fucking happy. I get to take my son to blink before he graduates and he’s now old enough to enjoy it. Where is this newsletter? The official site?
  3. It’s here!!!!!!!! We’ve waited years and years for this! We got our band back finally! I didn’t think we’d ever see this day. Again. Welcome back, Tom!!!
  4. Wow. It’s actually happening. I can’t believe it. Guess I’m ready to be hurt again!!!
  5. We all have PTSD from the last 2 breakups + reunion tour 1.0, so a healthy amount of skepticism is in line and perhaps even healthy when dealing with this band. But I’m on Team It’s Happening. I’m learning to be grateful for whatever comes next and not get too excited.
  6. I’m greedy. I want a new album. I expect it if they go this route… but will settle for taking my kid to his first blink show before he graduates in 1.5 years, if it’s just a tour.
  7. Honestly you’re right, I had fun at the first Matt show, for what it was worth. Surprised I liked it as much as I did but I wanted to hear more off Cali. They played a ton of the hits. It was the only time I had seats to sit in during a blink show and I just wanted to be on the floor. But the Enema show was pretty bad. During the fight a dude hit another dude’s girl trying to hit him and it was super bad energy all around.
  8. Dude, I’ve regretted it every day since. Also there was a fight in the blink crowd I had to break up and my wife (girlfriend at the time) had beer poured all over her. Just a shit-show all around. I was literally content on that being my last blink show ever as it kinda ruined it for me. But blink at Riotfest with Tom in 2014 was a lot of fun!!!
  9. Man, the Riotfest show playing Enema with Matt was so bad. We only went so we could hear the deep cuts from Enema that we’d never hear otherwise. But part of me still thinks I committed a sin not going to Jawbreaker instead. I’d even say that the Cali tour was more fun because Matt helped write some of those songs but with Enema he was just standing there trying not to fuck up.
  10. Maybe the Matt songs will end up being the bonus tracks. But Mark either scrapped ‘em like you said or he took the ideas to Tom and Travis. That is, if Tom is actually back.
  11. Didn’t Tom do a shout-out to them a year or two back as the new face of punk? Hmm… makes ya wonder…
  12. I assume the only time super deep cuts will get a pop is on anniversary album tours and even then… hard to say. Last few concerts I saw blink play everyone just stood around waiting for them to play a single. This was at riotfest when they were touring Enema (I get it, a bunch of casual fans there) but when I saw them for the California tour before that it was pretty much the same exact thing… only maybe the crowd also jammed out to Built This Pool and like Sober but none of the others off that album, which I found odd. So I get why blink does it, but never playing a deep cut for the old fans just reeks of laziness. And I blame Tom and Mark and Matt because Travis learned blink’s setlist in like half a day. They’re just old now and have better things to do with their free time than relearn old songs and memorize lyrics and rehearse extra. Fuck, wasn’t the banter mostly the same during the reunion tour? The bar is low, stayed low outside playing Enema all the way through, and I’m just gonna accept the greatest hits at every show from here on out. Unless there’s ever a new album. Then we’ll get 3-4 of those songs.
  13. Ah I stand corrected! Still, cool shirt!
  14. I saw this too but they didn’t have my size. I do believe this was the cover to the Feeling This single back in the day.
  15. I listened to Hey I’m Sorry on repeat on my way to work today. That one and Black Rain are still fun to listen to every once in awhile. Nine > Cali in my book but I’d have to re-listen to both again to compare. I no longer care how blink works on songs. Just keep Feldman at bay please like they did on Nine.
  16. I’m just here for the Funko Pops now. Carry on.
  17. Not at all. He just buys Marilyn Manson paintings.
  18. Well he’s now probably the richest member of Alkaline Trio so that’s nice.
  19. Can you imagine Mark posting: We’re extremely pleased to announce Tom’s arrival to the Funko Pop line. This has been in the works for a long time, had to keep it secret for obvious reasons, but the day is here on blink’s 30th anniversary and we couldn’t think of any better way to celebrate than releasing these 3 collectibles to our loyal fans.
  20. Don’t feel bad for Skiba. He got his money. I think there was probably some moment in time, probably recording, where he realized he wasn’t going to get any creative control. The fact Mark wouldn’t let him sing his own songs speaks volumes. I think he is just happy to have a piece of the pie.
  21. Skiba. Is. Out. I hope so, at least. We’ll always have Black Rain. But really, I see the only move to bring back excitement to casual blink fans and to have that California-style of goodwill is to bring back Tom. Not saying it’d be great for the band’s internal mechanisms, but that would generate similar news/interest as when Skiba was first announced 7 years ago.
  22. I don't really buy blink shirts anymore. But man, this is tempting.
  23. Hahaha oh fuck i'll report how the AVA Chicago Oct show is this year. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint the kid too much after growing up on MTTS.
