Its really sad and also very odd to see someone talented and someone who made so good music to fall this hard. Im not shallow and i know people grow up but tom almost doesnt even look like the same person you know? Fuck. Never in a million years could i have predicted this downfall back in the day. Really, really sad.

You can have synths and allt that without it being over produced soundwise. Even electronic bands sound raw sometimes. Like daft punk. They even made an album, Random Access Memories, as vintage and raw as they could just through tape like in the old days. And bands like Rage Against The Machine and At the drive in have that sound. And box car.

No i know. My point it is, self titled showed that blink can be dynamic and under?-produced. And im just hoping that the new LP will be also.

I disagree. I think compressed and over produced makes it really dull, uninteresting and doesnt take the music to a new level. Bruce Swedien who is considered one of the best mixing engineers in the world (Michael Jackson, jennifer lopez, paul McCartney) never uses any compression and the 21 by Adele is beautiful. Listen to Dont You Remember i know its a matter of taste and im not in anyway trying to say you're wrong or i am right, but i just strongly dislike the over compressed/produced/eq sound. The less the better I know Enema is considered over produced but thats not exactly the level in overproduced Feldmann takes it. At least there are live sounding drums in Enema and not triggered (5 sos)

i pray to god that Feldmann won't go anywhere near the mixing. Hate that clean, overproduced, compressed to hell sound. Tom Lord-Alge should mix like always and reference his mix with the self-titled. Or at least have that roomy big sound.

The studio blink recorded Self-titled, MTTS and BCR recorded. I remember this studio from the Cheetah videos. And in the beginning, the parking lot where Tom smashed his guitar and Mark ran over it with his car. aaaa good times.

Cool! Im really happy for them! I was so fucking jealous though when they got to play on Marks show. Almost lost it haha and i talked to them few days before and they didnt even mention it. Like "yeah now were just rehearsing for a little USA tour and then just go home" ...and maybe meeting Mark Hoppus!? I was with them one time, and we all were drunk so of course i had to mention Mark, and they all said he was really nice and awesome damn, im still jealous
