Super cringe. All of their last few songs have been. Who else is writing off this record? And if so what does that mean for the future and your relationship with blink? Will you just completely kick them to the curb like a girlfriend that you know will never work with you so you completely drop them from your life? Or are you still going to hold out hope for the next record hoping they’ll come around back to the person you initially fell in love with?

Disclaimer, I don’t hold untitled as blinks best work. I’ll take dude ranch-TOYPAJ over untitled any day. But I know that is such a highly regarded album on this board, and blink has said themselves this new album would be like untitled in some way or the other. With the release of the 5 songs that are out now, it’s quite obvious that is not going to be the case. But there’s got to be some of you out there who still are holding out hope for this lost cause of a record. Who is still expecting this to meet their expectations of being parallel to untitled, and if so, why?

To play devil's advocate Don't Leave Me isn't really a riff as much as it is a progression of power chords lol. But I agree with you here Oliver. Matt may not have memorable riff's but he has memorable "ohs and woahs" that rank right up there with Tom's "na na nas" on All the Small Things
