2. Saves The Day - Freakish (Saves the Day needs to crack the list, more influential than get credit for, and this song just feels like it encapsulates the earlier era perfectly)
3. The Story So Far - Nerve (although I like their new stuff better, old stuff was ahead of its time)
4. Lagwagon - Falling Apart (because I'm allowed to make my list how I want, old man band pick)
5. Green Day - Poprocks & Coke (gotta have a Green Day song in here, any song from Superhits)
6. Fenix TX - Katie W. (finally, a less annoying Offspring)
7. Say Anything - Every Man has a Molly (I didn't know what song to take from this album, lot of good ones, but this one probably is my favorite)
8. Neck Deep - In Bloom
9. My Chemical Romance - Helena (I know we are venturing into Emo territory now, but this song rips)
10. Alkaline Trio - Teenage Heart (even though not as impactful as their old stuff, I just like this song & album too much, and proved they can still do it, even after the Cali deal)
11. Modern Baseball - Fine, Great
12. +44 - Heart Stops Beating (I think this is just a banger. Mark deserved to have one hit without Tom. There are better +44 songs, but I gotta go with the most impactful one. Underrated song anyway).

Felix TX sounds nothing like Offspring, especially that song. Fuck you even talking about? Love ya dude but sometimes you make negative zero sense with the things you say lol

Scott also didnt want to go in the same direction as blink. In one of the only interviews he ever gave years ago, he addressed this. He wanted to sign to Epitaph and Mark and Tom wanted to go to a major label. He didn’t want to participate in all the extra shit that came along with a major label. He wasn’t aligned with Mark and Tom in their vision for the band’s future. Alcoholism or not, he clearly wasn’t taking the band as seriously as they were with him missing shows and what not. They ran into Travis and that sealed his deal. Travis was a much better drummer and also a professional who wouldn’t miss shows. Don’t think there has to be any deeper explanation than that.

Appreciate that. It’s not going any further I thought me and Ghent were just having a normal discussion. Not gonna deny my mental health has not always looked great here, lol, but I sincerely wasn’t trying to rile anyone up today. I do feel empathy for Scott because it would be incredibly hard to get dumped by your band and watch them blow up like blink did while their new drummer gets glazed by the entire world…that would be incredibly tough to navigate and work through…but at the same time I recognize Scott was the root cause of it. Just like im the root cause of a lot of my own problems lol

All I did was try having a discussion and pointed out that it’s not the same as mark shattering ankles before the band existed and Scott doing something similar later in their careers which was hindering the bands ascension. Scott literally delayed recording and missed scheduled shows. I am pretty sure any reasonable person would agree these are not comparable situations. Was Tom supposed to kick Mark out of the band that didn’t exist yet? 🤡🤡🤡

Tom didnt miss shows though. He’s also one of the main songwriters and was the one who was pushing the band for success. Clearly more important to the band than Scott. Nice whataboutism though. Really used to think you had more common sense than this

Mark did that the first day they met, before the band even started. This is not even close to a fair comparison. Scott was impeding the momentum of the band. Were talking about he pulled this shit right before recording Dude Ranch and missed several shows in that era. Not at all the same as Mark climbing a light pole when they had zero responsibilities for the band. Whose fault was it that they ever had to play a show with Travis in the first place? That would be Scott’s own doing.
Also Tom being sloshed years later after establishing his own band isnt the same either. At least he showed up for the shows lol.
