This thread was the biggest troll fail ever btw Chillin4Ava.
I was in complete control of the "fail" and disclosing that I was kidding. Did it on my terms, when I wanted. Could have trolled much longer. But I chose not to so, I guess that's a fail??? Doing what I wanted? Hmm

Nah I don't see the point in arguing, not really interested. I'd rather chill.

Try not to worry about it too much, when it's your time it will happen.

Sorry I guess I haven't been here long enough to establish that I'm not stupid lol. I was just trolling because when the album came out everyone in here was trying to debate which songs were about Tom. They were using any straw they could grasp at to suggest a song was about Tom. I was just using the "blink is home" analogy to suggest the same. I realize that's not the case...but then again...what if it really was?

Mark has explicitly said that blink is home. "Home is such a lonely place without you" is about blink being lonely without Tom. Mark misses Tom and this song proves it.

Shit. I bought tickets to see blink in Oregon, but I'm actually going to be in Idaho then, so now I'm trying to get tickets to see them in Salt Lake instead and pit tickets are gone. I'm finding some available for like $170 on sites like stubhub. This sucks. I don't want to sit on the fucking lawn.
Edit: $150 is the cheapest I've found. Gotta keep looking!
Damn I might have got ripped. I paid $300 a piece for two pit tickets at dte. Although that was from stub hub right when tix were released. I bought one for myself and am treating my brother to the other ticket. I don't even care tho, YOLO! Lol

You must have a good memory. It was such a blur for me. So much adrenaline! Oh and I forgot to mention the concert was on my birthday! Best bday present ever!
Side note: looking at setlistfm it looks like blink played on July 18 and 19 at DTE. No setlist though. Do you by chance have it?

I in fact have a terrible memory but I remember certain points of that night, those were the best days of my life! I remember there were two dates now, can't remember which one I went to. I know the set list is out there though, I remember looking it up somewhere. Side note, I also remember that concert and being excited when they played first date...before it was a single lol

Holy Hell, that was my first Blink concert too! Had pavilion seating. Unfortunately I don't remember much from the concert except that they sounded great and that Tom had the wrong guitar or was playing Give Me One Good Reason wrong.
Side note: NFG opened for blink but I had no idea who they were at the time. They were in their "live" prime. Wish I could have fully appreciated their set.

Awesome! And yup...chad from new found glory actually came out and played "give me one good reason" with blink. I had lawn seats then..have seen blink 3 more times since then, this will be my 5th time in August. Although i have pit general admission tickets this time

Do they really need the fuck sign still? Youve done it, we get it.
Excuse me, but I was 15 in 2001 when they first rolled out this fuck sign...saw blink for my first time on that tour...at DTE energy theatre in clarkston,mi..there was a city ordinance against open flames, so we were the only show that didn't get to experience the fuck sign. Although I will be 30 when I see them at the exact same venue this August, my 15 year old self is really hoping that ordinance is gone and that I'll finally get to see the sign in person!

Yea , this video is sweet. Pretty sure the whole concert is on YouTube. They even played dumpweed, but obviously before they recorded it because it is way different.

Dumpweed and Dysentery Gary are by far my two favorites, and they have been ever since I first listened to Enema of the State. Tough to pick between them, but Dumpweed is probably my favorite.

Hmmm. Not many from the actual shows but I have a couple stories of stuff that happened surrounding them. I used to work in an office building next door to the management company who reps Mark and I was friendly with all the employees there so they knew I was a huge blink fan. When the Untitled shows happened in November 2013, I went to 4 out of those 5 shows and the owner of the company told Skye on a phone call "this guy who works next door went to all of the Untitled shows." Apparently Skye told Mark and they sent a package of a ton of HMNIM merch to their office to give to me as a Christmas present. That was pretty fucking cool.
For the very first reunion show (in Vegas 7/23/09), I was walking around the Hard Rock and I bumped into Mark in a hallway. I've met him a few other times but I was just so caught off guard that I didn't even know what to say and it was an awkward mess. I essentially shook his hand and kept on walking.
The coolest thing that's ever happened to me blink related is that I went to the tour announcement party a couple months ago in West Hollywood. Some of my friends are close with Travis and my brother and I got to tag along. One of the best nights of my life seeing as I've loved this band since I was 9 (I'm 26 now). Hung out with Travis a bunch and had some great conversations (he is legitimately the nicest, most humble dude), chatted with Mark briefly, and also chatted with Skiba a few times. I got to give a long overdue thank you to Skye for the Christmas package from 2013...she didn't remember at all haha. Chatted with Feldmann a good deal as well as Atom Willard. It was a blink themed karaoke party, so my brother and I sang The Rock Show in front of blink. We went absolutely insane and I had my arm around Travis while singing one of the choruses trying to get him to sing with me. He laughed so hard and was like "no way! no way!" Afterwards he told me it was the greatest karaoke he's ever seen. So that was an epic life moment. I haven't posted about it before because I didn't wanna overstep my bounds with my friends within the blink circle, but I feel like I have to share it with you guys finally.
Atom Willard was there chilling? As in the original drummer for AvA? Lol...looks like he switched sides

That's sweet they played a couple seconds of "time to burn" by pennywise in the middle of that video! I love that song, they actually sounded good playing it for a split second there too. Toms performances from years ago and today are night and day.

Classic blink to have Pathetic on the rehearsal set list a month or two ago, get us all excited about ONE different song finally (that's sad in and of itself), and then not play it.
Oh, and the lack of California songs live so far is ridiculous. They don't want to be a greatest hits band according to that interview Mark just posted on Twitter today...well then play your new album on the tour supporting it. I keep thinking about how amazing Sober would be in a live setting, along with many other California songs. I don't understand blink with the live show. Infuriating.
Ha, I'm glad others feel the same way as I do!

Jesus, Tom is acting exactly like a crazy ex. Lol. He reminds me a whole lot of myself about 10 years ago. I was seeing a girl for a while, but took her for granted. She really adored me but I didn't realize how much I liked her and I thought I didn't want to settle down with her so I wouldn't agree to be exclusive. I thought, there's no way she'll ever ditch me or replace me with somebody else. But finally she got sick of my shit and did start seeing somebody else, and I was crushed. I couldn't believe what I let slip through my fingers. And I made all sorts of pathetic and desperate attempts to try to get her back as I realized i really did appreciate her and wanted to be with her. But it was too late. This is exactly how Tom is acting. Blink was always one of those bands where it really wouldn't be blink without mark or Tom, and even without Travis after they reached their peak. It was more than just the music. But now that it has actually happened, and happens to work better than with what Tom brought to the table the last several years, Tom is in complete shock. No way in hell he ever thought mark and Travis would kick him to the curb and continue blink without him. He thought it was impossible, and now that it's happening he doesn't know how to control himself. Having been in a similar position, I do feel for the guy but at the same time he is the sole reason he is in this position so he needs to accept that.
