Called it! 🤣 Homie is a shameless grifter. Although I can’t even be mad at him with all the Tombots constantly making comments over the internet like “man what pants are Tom wearing!? What’s that belt?!” Lol might as well capitalize on that. @Centrist Jan_Takeover.nba already ordered two in each color to go along with his Tom DeLonge Padres hat!

Ouch. https://www.themirror.com/entertainment/taylor-swift-coward-trump-tiktok-1526284.amp

Word. Im pretty sure Kurt Cobain put a 59 neck humbucker in the bridge spot of one of his guitars. I was just looking it up and they do make a neck and bridge 59, so sounds like you have similar rig to one of Kurt’s. If it gave him enough power im sure it’s lovely then!
-
Yea I don’t ever use them either. My strat’s tremolo is completed blocked and decked, that thing doesn’t move at all lol You put a 59 pickup in it? I thought before you said it was pearly gates? Or is that a different one?

SG stands for Small Gonads
-
At first glance that thing looks ugly but the more I stare at it the more I like it lol. Can definitely believe it’s a solid guitar tho for sure
-
Right on I think I faintly remember that. Also wasn’t trying to shit on your Gibson Les Paul im sure it’s a great guitar. I know they have a lot of great guitars, I just haven’t liked the ones I’ve picked up very much , especially relation into what they cost. I also don’t like how fat their necks are, so that probably has something to do with personal preference
-
You could probably sell that for a G now just fyi if you don’t have an attachment to it
-
They have Gibson Les Pauls at Best Buy? Never seen that before lol. But yea all of the Gibson Les Pauls i pick up feel like shit compared to the Schecter Solo II Custom I have and they all cost twice as much or more lol. Yea and you probably only paid like $500-$800 for it so that’s worth the cost for what that guitar is…
-
I agreed with you yesterday. I think I was just more brash towards the nerds who are going to pay $3,500 for Tom’s guitar. But whoever wants to spend $3,500 for a wall hanger more power to them lol
-
I agree completely. I will probably Never buy a Gibson in my entire life. You’re just paying for the logo on the headstock lol. That’s why I love going to guitar center and picking up everything. GC sucks too I just don’t have a better store near me
-
Whoever said you need to play the guitar in person to get a feel is correct though. I was at Guitar Center messing around and i swear this cheap ass Airline guitar felt and played way better than the expensive Gibson Les Pauls I picked up. This was only priced at like $200-$300 and I almost bought it on a whim but bought a reverb pedal instead lol. Was crazy good guitar for how cheap it cost
-
Yea the colors are easily mistaken for each other and tons of people refer to surf green as seafoam green all the time. it’s not a big deal but in my nerdism I went down that rabbit hole a while ago so I can always tell the difference between the two lol. One of Mark’s latest basses was seafoam green, which pops a little more. Both are rad colors
-
No, they’ve always called it surf green for the Tom DeLonge’s. Look at the listings, you’re mistaken. But everyone makes that mistake. Surf green is a more faint green, seafoam is more blueish/tealish fender.com has his Strat right now for sale listed as Surf Green. I wouldn’t be surprised in the past if certain outlets that sold instruments labeled it incorrectly as seafoam green though
-
*surf green sorry I had to. Im a nerd so I can tell the difference between surf green and sea foam green lol. That’s a nice collection tho
-
seems a lot of their quality control with their artist series have been wildly inconsistent. Which colors do you have? How many guitars do you have?
-
Cringe. Only a matter of time before hes selling these pants for $150 just because they stamped a few of his Red Hot Chili Peppers logos on them.
-
Shut up, adults are talking. We don’t need Racist RFK III’s opinion.
-
A lot of them are the exactly what you said, including the standard artist series models that Fender mass produces for Tom’s. Lots of differences between those and what he actually plays. But This $3,500 is master built by the same guy who makes his actual stage guitars. There are lot of artist guitars out there that I like, and don’t even know who the artist is lol. I just look out for decently priced and high quality specs. Guess that’s why I’m a Schecter guy lol but if I paid $3,500 for any guitar, especially one made by the same builder that makes one of my idol’s guitars, im gonna wanna see how that baby plays and compares to other guitars. Hanging on a wall seems like such a waste and douchey thing to do i do agree with you tho. My “Tom” Strat is a partscaster with genuine fender parts including a USA neck which is better quality than what they put on their artist series guitars for him. Every piece from my bridge to the tuners are better quality. And it’s a unique color scheme. Def the way to go!
-
I disagree. That may be true for a lot of teeny bopping Tom DeLonge fans, but there are tons of artist models across all brands that get played. Even a lot of Tom’s got played, along with a lot of the wall hangers. What differentiates these guitars from Tom’s normal run of the mill guitars is that they are master built by Brian Thrasher who builds the guitars Tom actually plays. So why pay $3,500 for a master built guitar that in theory should play like butter, just to hang on the wall? Call me a dick, call me old fashioned but to me it doesn’t really get any more lame than that
-
Yea that’s true this video the rig was probably very similar to the few years prior. I think there is a noticeable difference with the new guitar/humbucker probably having some “better” cleans than the invader but personally I just love the grit of the invader. I like the cleans to have a little dirtiness to them. I know a lot of people don’t like that tho. Dirty Fingers is still a very high output in its own right tho so at the end of the day unless you’re a gear nerd paying attention you aren’t going to notice a difference But yes I definitely agree for $3,500 youre better off getting a nice modeling system or amp. Or like 3 better quality guitars lol. I can think of several Schecter guitars for around $1,000 price point that will offer better specs and playability. Anyways, the people buying these things will be hanging them on their walls, they won’t be playing them. So to each their own, but I can think of a lot of better ways to burn $3,500 lol
-
It was a similar rig but he started using delays and flangers and shit in this time, so it was definitely different and more layered than in the past. That dirty fingers humbucker isn’t that all different than the invader was in his past rigs. Guitars and humbucker don’t make as much a difference in tone as amps and shit imo. I know a lot of people here feel the untitled era was the best but I disagree. Tom’s tone in the TOYPAJ Tour from 2001 is undefeated in my eyes. Either way this rig in your clip sounds way better than whatever the fuck he’s doing now (digital and way too many backing tracks). At least here you can hear what Tom is actually playing edit- lmfao at the English baked beans and tomatoes being called out 😂
-
Man I hate those fucking Gibsons. So ugly lol. But I think you’re right and he does prefer those even though he’s getting paid by Fender right now
-
You sound like a douchebag who doesn’t know what Angel Reese looks like so you go around projecting and calling other people racist.
