    Beach boys/Brian Wilson tribute right now on CBS is pretty legit.

    I don’t really remember it, but Beach Boys was my first concert experience ever, I remember eating a giant turkey leg and then bouncing back and forth between BB and Verve Pipe..it was a cool concept.

    I was never a huge beach boys guy but the whole aura behind Brian Wilson and how he was able to tap into that music no one else could really create is nothing short of amazing

    @Kay what are your songs that you put most effort in vs. least you were saying in terms of what gets the most hype from or something along those lines?

    I'm just curious if I fall subject to that trap, with knowing which are which.

    Did that make any sense?

    The two I put most mind numbingly effort in I've gotten worst feedback on, and flipped for the two shit out in one night are the most resonating with everyone even close friends.. kind of pisses me off ..

    Every song sounds the same by Travis since his Tickets to my Downfall breakthrough.

    These are no different.  Just added a cheap violin for Yellowcard, of course.  That's soo Yellowcard.

    Better Days sounds good though.  The production actually sounds pretty good here.

    I still stand by my original opinion that Tickets to My Downfall is good as fook though

    Tickets will forever hold a place in pop punk history idc if it’s MGK, it was just as much Travis and it slaps.

    Ugh, I was hoping he was not but I figured he probably was sounded pretty Travis-esque, but it's super duper poppy and was afraid to look.

    I hate to say it but I'm convinced they are running some of this shit through AI.  Every song is started to sound really samey by Travis and generic as hell, not to mention the video itself is clearly AI (and not CGI) on the train scenes. Same with the higher MGK voice. 

    MGK already looks like an Anime character, I'm not sure why they need to use his AI.

     

    I fucking hate AI with anything music/movies.

    This kind of just mind fucked me.  I hadn't really thought about that.  Obvious, Stockholm Syndrome, Easy Target have riffs but not really vintage 'blink' riffs.

    They did this their first big Album didn’t they? It was all one big continuation video.

    Yeah unfortunately most of the time stuff like this stems from something sad.  Or he’s just being a colossal douche and actively choosing.  We’ll never know.

    They really are a greatest hits band. It feels like Grohl is just taking from his old rock bands and mimicking them/role playing more than his own personal music.

    That said can’t help but like a few songs.

    Run is the only recent song I kinda liked

     

    They really jumped shark for me when they made the 666 movie or w.e and Dave grohl going in this Billie eilish im your biggest fan it’s so authentic of me etc etc annoys me.

    continuing on without Hawkins obviously feels disingenuous

    Lol I can see why you went now. And I still hope you have a good time. Even if they are the most overrated rock band all time.
