I feel like Knapton doesn’t like the new Turnstile album.
-
"Oh wow hip hop rock it's so cool" is exactly what I said after watching/listening to their first big album. I never disliked or liked them, liked a few songs, hate the overhype.

Patient I just want you to like me. Coddle me.

@Kay what are your songs that you put most effort in vs. least you were saying in terms of what gets the most hype from or something along those lines?
I'm just curious if I fall subject to that trap, with knowing which are which.
Did that make any sense?
Hidden from Patient:
SpoilerThe two I put most mind numbingly effort in I've gotten worst feedback on, and flipped for the two shit out in one night are the most resonating with everyone even close friends.. kind of pisses me off ..

What do you guys think of the new Yellowcard stuff? Produced/drummed by Travis, apparently:
Every song sounds the same by Travis since his Tickets to my Downfall breakthrough.
These are no different. Just added a cheap violin for Yellowcard, of course. That's soo Yellowcard.
Better Days sounds good though. The production actually sounds pretty good here.

You gotta try harder than that if you want to trigger mature Diddy 😘😅
Oh wow so much character growth from age 38 to 39 old ass

MGK might just be a genius.
Pivoting from Rap to Pop Punk to country pop or whatever he’s on now should not be taken lightly.

Congratulations, you love an album made by a 30+ something year old that was tailered and manufactured for middle school kids! Dude was on his album cover holding a guitar like he’s a real one when in fact the album credits show he played guitar on only 25% of the songs LOL. Give me a break, Jan.
I’ll grow up next summer!

Tickets is trash. Does not belong in pop punk history. It’s manufactured garbage
All I know is you don’t know nothing

This song sounds like it should be performed by Halsey or some pop singer. Whoever writes her songs definitely wrote that. Not good
I still stand by my original opinion that Tickets to My Downfall is good as fook though
Tickets will forever hold a place in pop punk history idc if it’s MGK, it was just as much Travis and it slaps.

He did hit those moves with the floor mop but the rest was pretty big miss. I still think it's all Ai.

BABY I'M A ROLLING STONE!
I'm so sick of this fucking line. It's not a play on the 'cliche' thing either, they were trying to make a catchy chorus.
Shame, shame on all them!

I saw a short clip on Reddit and he was rightfully getting roasted bad. It’s embarrassing that Travis is involved with this shit
Ugh, I was hoping he was not but I figured he probably was sounded pretty Travis-esque, but it's super duper poppy and was afraid to look.
I hate to say it but I'm convinced they are running some of this shit through AI. Every song is started to sound really samey by Travis and generic as hell, not to mention the video itself is clearly AI (and not CGI) on the train scenes. Same with the higher MGK voice.
MGK already looks like an Anime character, I'm not sure why they need to use his AI.
I fucking hate AI with anything music/movies.

the only "blink" riff on the album.
This kind of just mind fucked me. I hadn't really thought about that. Obvious, Stockholm Syndrome, Easy Target have riffs but not really vintage 'blink' riffs.
The Octave era.
Still contention for GOAT album.

Turnstile releasing a visual album to accompany the music. Tom must have gotten in their ear when they toured with them 🤣
They did this their first big Album didn’t they? It was all one big continuation video.
Overrated band anyways. Everything they do I feel like “seen this already” but also not a good homage

He's running away from something, full of hate and pretends to be somebody else.
I reckon it's a fairly dark place in his head, hope he gets the help he needs to be more comfortable in his own skin and happy.
Yeah unfortunately most of the time stuff like this stems from something sad. Or he’s just being a colossal douche and actively choosing. We’ll never know.

They really are a greatest hits band. It feels like Grohl is just taking from his old rock bands and mimicking them/role playing more than his own personal music.
That said can’t help but like a few songs.
big me, times like these, best of you, first album
Run is the only recent song I kinda liked
They really jumped shark for me when they made the 666 movie or w.e and Dave grohl going in this Billie eilish im your biggest fan it’s so authentic of me etc etc annoys me.
continuing on without Hawkins obviously feels disingenuous

Lol I can see why you went now. And I still hope you have a good time. Even if they are the most overrated rock band all time.

Beach boys/Brian Wilson tribute right now on CBS is pretty legit.
I don’t really remember it, but Beach Boys was my first concert experience ever, I remember eating a giant turkey leg and then bouncing back and forth between BB and Verve Pipe..it was a cool concept.
I was never a huge beach boys guy but the whole aura behind Brian Wilson and how he was able to tap into that music no one else could really create is nothing short of amazing
