  1. First David Bowie album. All I heard was how bad it was. I disagree. Total vibe. Turnstile is cringe now imo. Used to like them, but they’re like the Instagram brands of bands. Enough with the all caps
  2. He might be overrated at this point but he wrote some of the most iconic licks ever? Under The Bridge? Can't hate on a guy who wrote the guitar on all those albums. Yeah Chad is a beast. Best member of the band forsure. Unique style too that just grooves.
  3. I know some RHCP obsessors. I respect their instrumentation and what not, especially back in the day, it's just way overblown their popularity and I think Anthony Kiedis is kind of a hack. I have gone through some stretches of loving their stuff though, Frusciante and Chad Smith are a great pair.
  4. I hate ACDC rock. But I don't hate rock. It's aged really well too.
  5. American Idiot was so huge, that I remember having to go to a Barnes & Noble book store to get it. Shit like that, I miss. Stupid streaming makes it too easy/accessible.
  6. I was old enough to have Basket Case be my first Green Day song heard though.. Blink similarly with Dammit/Josie videos floating around. But I did hear WMAA & ATST first admittedly. That was on all the kids stations too and MTV was easily accessible from the downstairs basement TV.
  7. When I was learning to crawl instead of telling my mom to pre order the Dookie singles or I'mma barf my baby food on the carpet.
  8. International Superhits was one of my first 3 CDs so I don't wanna hear any slander about my age. They still played the stuff on MTV years later and pretty sure basket case was the biggest one on youtube they had for a while.
  9. I forgot, you can only listen to music on release date or you're a #poser
  10. Idk, I just watched it on MTV or listened on the radio. Same with Teen Spirit.
  11. I sound dumb? Bro I’m agreeing with you…..
  12. Basket Case was pretty big here and what got me to check them out. Then you had good riddance, when I come around, welcome to paradise, brain stew weren’t small..
  13. So you're really going to sit here and argue today on this mid Wednesday that fans of Blink & Green Day fans were not similar and had overlap? The sounds were different, demographic of fans were pretty similar or overlap.
  14. At least they have more variety 🤷‍♂️
  15. Yeah they began a new era and Smells Like Teen Spirit was probably the biggest song of the 90s.
  16. Well Kurt didn't want the Nevermind production, so you know. Butch Vig had to trick him into doing double trackings even by lying and saying he needed another take or forgot to hit record and such to get the layered sound you get on Nevermind. It's in the Butch Vig Nevermind Documentary, pretty neat stuff.
  17. W.e. similar demographics of fans.
  18. Nirvana was a rock/grunge sound. That is more popularized outside of the States as much as it is in. Green Day is socal-pop punk. That is supremely a US & Lake-less places like Australia.
  19. I’ll never forgive Billie Joe for playing Hitchin A Ride for 15 minutes at the WWWY fest.
  20. Does he talk about why he left San Diego? Oddly enough that's what I'm most interested in getting the answer on. LA sucks.
  21. Yeah, both middle/upper tier blink songs.
  22. Hurt is a vibe, shut up 🤫
  23. *archived let's be real "New cool shit" = books though. We got a book or movie coming. Guarantee it's not new blink music.
