It's not comparable because Mark is 110℅ dedicated and always has been to Blink. If Tom was that passionate about Blink, they wouldn't replace him, ever.

Listened a few times, I loved about 5 of the 10 as well. Some really epic songs, which was cool if you have the patience for them. It's probably my least favorite of their releases, but I still enjoyed it and will be replaying it for some time. I may be in the minority, but I think Adam's voice actually has gotten better over time.. I just don't love their sound as a whole AS MUCH as earlier releases, but Happiness is really sounds like the peak of his voice, which is the same now, but he definitely went for a different style in this one. Like listen to better homes and gardens or w.e it's called, absolutely kills those vocals. Always a fan of the raw punkier days though

Favorite album: louder now Favorite song (right now): error, operator Cute without the e or One eighty by summer are probably my all time favorites if I had to choose which is tough

Haven't heard All Excess yet, but about half way through the album and I'll say this. Taking Back Sunday will never be my #1 all time favorite, like a Blink is at times, but in turn that makes me less critical of them (something I'm trying to do with Blink as best I can), and I've absolutely loved everyone of their releases from Tell all your friends to Tidal wave. I've always liked TBS and it hasn't changed, which is cool for my add with bands. I'm really enjoying any new TBS, they have a shit ton of songs now I can easily make a full day out of them on a playlist. The production is great on this album, very crisp. I liked 'happiness is' so you may not share the same opinion. This seems to have a more mix than happiness is though, more experimental or punk/emo/pop that was pretty heavy and fun

Emo is more epic 'pop punk rock'. It doesn't have the production enhancement for pop punk, but it has all the base elements to perfection.

Honestly I never followed critiques on TBS, and am a huge fan.. didn't know ppl were so down on them. Happiness Is, I thought had terrific highs.. Where you want to be and Louder now are my personal favorites, but I find some absolute greatness in all their later albums too. Wouldn't say they've fallen.. They were only big on cute without the e, Decade under the influence, and makedamnsure. I thought they had tons of other great, and greater songs. Even simple songs like error operator are so amazing imo. One eighty by summer probably my favorite at the moment..I don't think the choruses on happiness is are far off though That said, these couple songs released for tidal waves sound awful.

Idk Bang Bang I really liked. It's a lot like bored to death to me. I just love the chorus, it's very vintage feel but also very new. Also sounds a bit heavy produced.. Possibly co written guitar parts.. But overall just way better than the last release

At first I was getting kind of jealous because I LOVED Bang Bang. Maybe I just missed Green day and had no expectations.. Forgot about them.. but I've been blasting that song anytime it comes on. It's really really good imo. But revolution radio I thought was really boring and bland so maybe it's not going to be any better than California. I blasted Bored to Death for days but I think Bang Bang is just as good.

Gotta say I do not like Matt's voice on soohm. I thought it was a decent single choice at first, but Green Days 'Bang Bang' isn't poppy at all and is exploding. Soohm has a cool bass intro but not proud to say it's a blink song after that

And yes they waited too long for soohm. Momentum has died quite a bit with summer ending. Soohm would have excited me quite a bit if it dropped anytime before like mid August

Yeah I don't get that. Mark says that videos are obsolete. But social media is as big as ever and sharing. He's probably just assuming because MTV or something lol

So what though? That's his own fault almost entirely because he couldn't compromise like the others would. If his head got that big, bigger than that of an enormous sized band in all really, I just can't see the reason to feel bad. It's not like he was nice about anything or there's some sad reason he had to leave blink.. he got narcissistic and thought his own side projects should and would be as big. It's not like he left and gave shoutouts to blink and stuff as a past, he rather take shots and down play blink as children stuff and them use them for money. Yeah it would suck to have them succeed without you but a real man wouldn't expect others to feel sorry for him

This is why I'll never move to LA/California main cities. Place seriously messes everyone up.
