It was beautiful Diddy. I'm not going to keep defending it to someone who clearly hates everything about it. It was a perfect time & place. Pure luck if you want to call it. Because I hate all that generic copy & paste shit floating around everywhere. But it worked at the time. It was right during Covid want to say? It was well done. A proper homage to the genre, that was failing and dying out, and just had the right tone for a homage. MGK of all people, he was just the poster boy for it, industry plant, w.e, I don't care, his vocals suck, but the songs were great and a well crafted album start to finish. Especially with blink sucking at the time, it felt like a proper love letter/homage, plus we know he actually grew up during those times, so it felt like a fan piece. I dug it. Way better than the Paradox shit, sorry. The only thing better, is an actual breathing entity still, who were younger when blink was big, The Story So Far, and probably One More Time (although heavily flawed). Everything else has been shit, I don't like Turnstile. I'd rather listen to random indie music since pop punk is clearly dated af. Sans the two things I mentioned. I thought Saviors was good, but I don't really consider that Pop Punk. Oh and Offspring still sucks, forever and always.

That’s okay, I’m a hater. I have a 30+ year old friend that sends me clips of them weekly because he knows I was the big blink fan and it bothers me it’s all just generic Travis factory shit. More power to them, I’d do it too if it was working or w.e, but since when is that the bar for liking music? I hated Turnstile when they came out and this is like if turnstile had a Gen Z baby. Fuck em. It’s 2026, come up with something new or do it magically in a straight forward homage, like Tickets to my downfall, which is why it gets a pass. It wasn’t cosplaying some nostalgia bait, it was a pure homage to a time MGK actually experienced, which is why he gets a hall pass Faplord. His music since has sucked though, so don’t get me wrong. It was a time and a place. Just come up with something new. Sipping on a Bender or w.e that song is sucks. Sorry not sorry #hater alert. My problem with Paradox is everyone’s convinced themselves for some reason ‘this is not really that bad.’ When it is, it’s no different than any other of these knock offs I couldn’t tell you if it’s AI music or another Travis Factory band (sans MGK’s tickets to my downfall masterclass gets a hall pass). How about some originality?
