My mom started both me and my brother on guitar.
She used to sing us "Streets of London" by Ralph McTell every night before bed.
My brother is much more talented than me, he dedicated his life to music and won a case against a Dutch band earlier this year. They stole one of his songs and tried to pass it off as their own.
I wanted to be different as a kid so I played Bass, finally bought myself an acoustic when I turned 18 and play sporadically, do the occasional open mic night.
My son hates it when I put the guitar away now throws a proper strop, it's hilarious. I really think and hope he will be musical, but I won't push it on him.
