  1. They played it last summer at my show (audible in place of KOTW): This summer tour it's been played at soundcheck damn near every show, but haven't seen it in an actual show yet.
  2. Someone should bring it up to Travis, he will often reply on Instagram/SnapChat. Or give Mark some heat about it when he does his little Twitter Q/A's. Still blows my mind that they haven't even rehearsed any Deluxe songs to my knowledge. Like try them out at soundcheck for gods sake? Every soundcheck is M&Ms/Down/Anthem 2... couldn't imagine playing the exact same shit every single day. Mark said Misery is his favorite song but you don't even attempt to play it live? Parking Lot? 6/8? Anything... it's sad because people have accepted new Blink (as others have said, the reception for new songs is unreal), but Mark's still stuck in the past. I wish they'd embrace it and play the hell out of new songs instead of making Matt scream karaoke. They make Matt sing songs he routinely fucks up (Anthem 2) instead of their current single HISALP or a song off their new album that came out a month ago? Like what in the fuck.
  3. 70 minutes is definitely whack. I didn't time my shows but thought they were 90 minutes (which still felt short). It's not even a matter of learning more songs, they know plenty of other songs that could fill 20 minutes. (Skibas played Not Now/UAN/Wishing Well/M&Ms/Carousel/Man Overboard/No Future/TOTTM/KOTW/etc. Even more deep cuts at his FIRST show with Blink IIRC) Mark did say he was sick yesterday which I'm sure didn't help his mood, or need to get offstage ASAP, but yeah 70 minutes is definitely not acceptable and I hope people start asking him about it more.
  4. Poor Robert, Mark fucks up Cynical and then tries to blame Robert for it lol (should start at 6:50)
  5. I really liked UAN (still do), After Midnight or Wishing Well may have been a little catchier but none of them scream "massive hit" IMO. (Which is fine, I didn't want that out of Blink at that point in time. I was just glad to have my favorite band back.) Someone should remix some NH songs and polish them up and add a ton of dual vox and woahhhh/naaaanaaaas and pick slides in there. I SAW YOUR GHOST TONOIIIGHTTTT *WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA* IT FUCKING HURT LIKE HELL *NAHHHH NAHHHHHHH*
  6. I'm talking more about those who don't even know who Blink is, like if I had to play a song for all of the people at my office. People who just want to tap their foot and sing a catchy chorus, ranging from age 20 to 55--I'd choose a Cali song over NH every time. Neighborhoods would be more rewarding to those who play an instrument (particularly guitar) or to those who prefer alternative indy style rock, but not for any type of popular radio IMHO. Most of my friends who listened to Cali hadn't really even thought about Blink since high school, so Cali still sorta sounded like EOTS/TOYPAJ and it was as if Blink never skipped a beat. But yeah, I get your point... often times I get an eye roll when I say I'm a diehard Blink fan, and people assume I listen to ATST on repeat and if those people heard Cali they would probably roll their eyes and think they've been doing the same thing since 1999.
  7. Trav posted the setlist for tonight, if they play the older audibles this could be a decent set! Birmingham folks, don't look at this if you don't want spoilers (as if there's much to "spoil" in regards to Blink's set these days...) Man Overboard, M&Ms, and Carousel would be super dope!
  8. Yeah I have several friends who really don't care about music or Blink at all, but they were listening to California and talking to me about the songs when it came out and I can guarantee they don't even know Neighborhoods exists. California definitely has more mass appeal than the niche Neighborhoods record IMHO (Feldy FTW). Even if you throw out sales numbers/chart success, imagine your Mom or younger siblings getting in your car and you have to play a song from Cali or Neighborhoods for them to like, they are going to enjoy the Cali songs more. If I was hosting a big party with a diverse group I would throw on Sober/BTD/SOOHM way before GOTDF/UAN/After Midnight, and I LOVE Neighborhoods. It totally bums me out that Trav/Mark dislike that entire "era", but in the end the songs just aren't as catchy, and it's a little too much AVA for mass appeal IMHO. I've been playing the Neighborhoods record in the car with my wife for 6 years, and she only knows a few parts of "Wishing Well" (mostly LADADADA), she knew damn near every chorus/bridge on California within a month or two...
  9. See that was cool and genuine as fuck IMO! And even more importantly, will be awesome for him and his kids to watch in 10-20 years. That tattoo he was getting was by an artist named Chuey who is amazing, when I met them a few months ago he had just gotten it done and I talked to Trav about it.
  10. I think they're cool and go along perfectly with the song IMO. These 3 solo versions we're getting are just fun extras, they aren't trying to win a MTV video award with them. Does anyone even watch music videos any more? I can't even remember hardly any since VH1/MTV countdown days, it's why the budgets for them have gone to shit. The whole premise is to show the guys in their natural state, hanging out at home...something we never see. Naturally this will be boring, but it's still cool to see this side of them for once IMO. The only thing I don't understand about this release is why they wouldn't be playing it live to promote it... so whack.
  11. Maybe you'll get Man Overboard at least... I read they played that the other day, but then the next show swapped it with KOTW.
  12. In all seriousness I would ask him what it means to be a "Producer/Co-writer" and how you balance giving your ideas, while being respective of the band and their ideas. I'd also ask about his "first thought, best thought" approach and if he's always dead set on that, or just in general. Those are both questions that you can mention Blink with lol. If you want to get ballsy, ask if he knows if he will be producing the next Blink record or not...

  14. I'm not entirely convinced on this, because they put out Los Angeles, Sober, California, Last Train Home, 6/8, Long Lost Feeling, Bottom of The Ocean, etc. w/Feldy and all of those are pretty experimental and don't sound like any previous Blink stuff IMO.
  15. Mark on the next album being more experimental: “I think this album [California] took Blink back to its roots and what it’s all about, and I think on the next record, we want to push that boundary again. We’ll keep the core of Blink 182 but we’ll get a little more experimental. Kind of like what we did on the untitled record, which we’re all really proud of. It still sounded like Blink and had that Blink feeling, but it was different and a little more thought out.” http://www.nme.com/news/music/blink-182-discuss-plans-future-next-album-2099405?utm_content=manual&utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_term=nme
  16. Most the good ones have sold already, I wanted the "We're two in a million" knowing the wife would approve of it outside the mancave lol. Went for more than I could spend though... Here's a bunch that have sold: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=blink+lyric+video+art&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=47711-6051&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1
  17. Jammed out to California for it's 1-year anniversary over the long weekend, still holds up well for me. Hadn't listened to it in a few months, was surprised at how much I enjoyed No Future, Rabbit Hole, and San Diego. Front to back it flows quite well IMO with a nice mixture of songs, I didn't get a "repetitive" vibe at all. Glad they made it!
  18. Frames alone are $15-$30 lol. It's a cool piece IMO, especially if you got one of the recognizable lyrics. @Ghent 's "We're Not Growing Up" for his kid's room is awesome and a really neat way to incorporate Blink into a child's room under the radar. Original art isn't cheap, you're often supporting a poor artist. And while to some it may appear to be a simple water painting, it's really cool as a diehard Blink fan to have a piece from the official lyric videos, which is why they sell for more than $5. You're often paying for the backstory. It's a really neat conversation starter when someone at your house says "Where is that from?!" and you go on to tell them about it... as opposed to saying "Oh I got that art print from Walmart for $5" that a million people have on their walls.
  19. Mark's version is out now, these are really cool IMO. http://www.nme.com/news/music/blink-182-unveil-mark-hoppus-version-home-lonely-place-video-2098728?utm_content=manual&utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_term=nme Have they not played this live yet? I thought they played it before, or maybe that was just a soundcheck?
  20. I know people hate on the single, but I liked it. Definitely planned on checking out the full album and was looking forward to hearing Mark's guest appearance as well as Nick Hexum (311)...
  21. I understand your point, but I think he's just a matured 45 year old dad now. I loved them doing and saying whatever they wanted back in the day but a lot of that is so cringe now when I go back and re-watch or listen. I feel like I've grown up and matured alongside them, which is why I enjoyed Neighborhoods, and roll my eyes at the joke songs on California.
  22. I think Mark assumes he clarified the situation enough 2 years ago when they kicked Tom out, got a "legal divorce", and are continuing without him. I don't think he wants to give Tom any more attention by giving a proper quote, which is why his responses can seem "generic" and politically correct IMO. Matt knows he's a full time member IMO, he's just too kind and humble to come out and say "Yeah I'm in blink forever, it's MY band now!!! I'm rich biiiiiitch!". All he said was "Anything could happen." which is true about all things in this world. It's a weird situation, no doubt about it. Even when you look at people's VIP pictures, Matt's sort of standing off to the side by himself. When I met them, he sorta sat off by himself and was really weird about signing old Blink albums, like it wasn't his place...it's a huge change for him, I would doubt myself every day. The last thing he wants to do is start a feud with Tom with some shitty Kerrang quote. But it seems like all 3 of them are just trying to focus on the present and not stress about the past or the future.
  23. I swear I hear Skiba gang vocals all over that, but regardless Skiba not having his "own" song doesn't mean anything IMHO, especially when Mark has zero or 1.
  24. Not once did I feel like any of it was inviting Tom back to Blink, or questioning Matt's position. I just thought Mark was being pretty honest, in that he was caught off guard being asked if Tom could ever return, to which he said "I dunno. That's a hard conversation...I dunno". And I agree, it would be a hard conversation. If Tom suddenly became 100% committed to Blink and slowly started rebuilding his friendship, maybe Mark might hear him out, but I still don't think it would happen. Mark's already proven he doesn't want to give Tom any attention in interviews, and he's definitely good at deflecting questions and answering them "properly". He could've said "No fucking way." but he's older, wiser, and been through this before. You never say never... and of course he's not gonna say "YES HE CAN COME BACK WHENEVER" because he resents Tom currently lol. So his "That's a hard conversation" answer is pretty honest IMO, it's an extremely hard conversation with a lunatic who has fucked up your band twice, but was your best friend forever and you guys got famous as fuck together... The main takeaway point I got is Travis/Mark are extremely pleased with how Blink is going right now for the first time in a long time, and they do not want to fuck that up (or let Tom). Matt's living in the present as well and is grateful and enjoying the ride. Matt's brand new with an enormous role to fill, so of course he is going to have his doubts, or maybe feel like Trav/Mark should make all the decisions--anyone would. I mean, if you were asked to join Blink tomorrow, would you just suddenly come in and start calling the shots and feel like it was your band? It's something that will get better with time IMO. This doesn't prove anything to me IMO, Mark hasn't had his own song either. I think it's just a combined writing effort, easing him into the band, and maybe Feldy saying they should always trade off. He's had Left Alone and Last Train Home where he clearly shines IMO.
  25. That book is actually pretty good IMHO. And LOL at how dumb Tom sounds when he has to write. This is a former chief of staff he is emailing, and he says things like "he's really f-ing good", and "You may actually love the book - If you like great stuff and have amazing taste." lmao. I'd pay $50 to watch Tom type an email.
