  1. Sorry dude. It's not seafoam green. Fender CS Instagram post I took a screenshot of earlier this year alludes to aged sweet pea. Here's the guitar in Tom's home earlier this year: Fender Custom Shop IG post of a body being painted 'aged sweet pea': It is possible the color faded over time. That's why perhaps it was some sort of faded surf green that has some greyish tint to it. It's definitely not seafoam green. Maybe we can finally put this one to rest.
  2. Bingo. Camera/flash/lighting can be deceiving too. For instance, my surf green replica, in person, looks like the surf pictured, BUT when I take pics with my cellphone, in certain light conditions, actually sorta looks more seafoam. Stupid phone.
  3. @daveyjones @FAPLORD Tom never had a seafoam green strat (at least that I have ever seen). Seafoam green is very blueish. The redditors insist he's had seafoam but he hasn't. I'm a regular on the subreddit. It generates plenty of downvotes to say this but it's true. Tom didn't have a seafoam green strat. I don't get the obsession with insisting he did. Seafoam is a cool color though so maybe that's why. His one prototype strat with the tremolo bridge and the selector switch cutout in the pickguard is aged sweat pea/faded surf green. You will see it called seafoam green ad nauseam. It's not. Seafoam is very much blueish in color. His hard tail with the punker guy fret inlays (that neck is now on Padre) is surf green. It was in the WMAA video. This is the strat I replicated. The big difference between mine and the real one is the bridge. I used the Fender American flat mount hardtail bridge that was used on the majority of his signature strats. This early strat however had a vintage hardtail bridge. The saddles are a dead giveaway. But to stay on topic, this one was surf green. It's my favorite of his signature strats. @Q182 if I'm missing something, chime in brah.
  4. The bill for Cheshire Cat Doubletime sessions is actually dated 5 days before the Oct 7 SOMA show.
  5. I just got the 50 watt JCM 900 Dual Reverb. It's definitely thinner than my Ampeg and Mesa. You need to use more bass/low than I'm used to.
  6. I've been trying to get the DR tone with my JCM 900 4500 Dual Reverb. I think I'm kinda close but I'm also using the Les Paul with the JB in the bridge. I'll try the sticker strat when I finish redoing it.
  7. Just the body is Warmoth. Thanks. The inlays are stickers. You can get them off eBay.
  8. I've accepted I'm never going to hear the DR demos, which is a massive disappointment.
  9. I'm wondering if that one sticker behind the bridge is a CIV sticker?
  10. Thread for deciphering the mystery of Tom's backup sticker strat. It made a couple of known appearances (one of the Nile Theater shows in 1997 and an October 2 1997 show in Montreal). Here's a screen grab from the Oct 2 1997 Montreal show:
  11. Redditor provided more info to support the Squier theory:
  12. Guy on reddit, based on looking at the headstock in that photo, thinks it's a 90s made in korea squier. Shared this photo for comparison, said Tom's headstock when zoomed looks like an S with the made by Fender underneath it.
  13. LOL. Yeah I have no idea if the Sticker Strat or the LP got the Invader first because remember his LPs were stock in 98 for a bit. The Recovery Australia videos show stock LP (stock pickups with covers, pickguard, all the knobs still there - I based my replica on this config).
  14. It's on reddit already dude. No point now lol
  15. It's already on reddit dude, you can leave it up at this point!
  16. This is one of the pics Mark shared with us on his Twitch subscriber channel on Mark's discord. This is the same set of pics that shows the Ampeg VL-1002 in the studio. This is Doubletime Studios during the recording of Cheshire Cat. We didn't post these here because Mark only shares them on the subscriber channel so I wonder who leaked it.
  17. It's confirmed Chesh is lying about having the DR demos. His clip of the Apple Shampoo demo on YouTube is actually a Billabong commerical that used the demo version of Apple Shampoo. Another bootleg collector confirmed it to me.
  18. @daveyjones @Q182 @Ry-Bread I've got a teaser picture of the sticker strat headstock taken yesterday by Tom's tour manager/tech. For some reason they still won't show the entire guitar. You can see the discoloration from where "Descendents" was on the headstock too. He cut one of the bunny's from the 97-98 era blink 182 bunny sticker and placed it over the clover. You can see the edge of the clover slightly near the tuning machine. This is the same bunny that was placed in between the pickups on one of the Les Pauls. Here's the headstock Here's the sticker the bunny was cut from
