I was just watching the new Montreal 97 show that's surfaced a couple hours ago and noticed that right before the start of the song "Untitled" Tom swaps guitars and starts using a Fender guitar which I had never seen ever before:

Any thoughts/knowledge on that backup guitar?

I have a pretty high res pic of Tom playing that guitar, the same one you have in your signature I think; I have it saved tagged as 1996. 07. 30.

I believe he has sold it since. Don't know who has it now

  2. Damn I wish I had found this thread earlier :D I was searching for high quality scans to make vector graphics with, because I want to do some reproductions. I've made a vectorized version of the old bunny, which I think turned out pretty great. I'm looking for the fonts of the text at the bottom now, but with little luck. "Filter Records" seems to be some variation of Dom Casual Bold. No luck with "Produced by Patrick Secor" yet.

demo #2 was recorded on july 5, 1993.

And so the search finally stops. Thanks to everyone who tried to help anyway. This one will be the "release date", since they probably gave out the cassettes in the following days as no cover art or inserts were added.

i want them 2 re-release flywsatter, alone is terrific song and catches the early 90s raw punk rock spirit of the time

Would be awesome, doubt they'll ever do it though :( we can't even get Uranus on streaming services

I don't think it ever had an official release.

It certainly wasn't a big release, but it had to be recorded and distributed to friends&family at some point. And that "some point" was between May (Flyswatter) and December (Buddha recording sessions begin) of 1993.

  6. Does anyone know when Demo #2 was exactly released? I know it was in 1993, but it seems nearly impossible to narrow it down even to a specific month. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated :)

(yes, I asked daveyjones. no, he didn't know either.)
