never realized that travis was in this new found glory video lmfao and i used to watch that video on mtv when it came out over and over

the offical title from the nimrod album is Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) but i think on certain thing it was called Time of Your Life (Good Riddance) could be a mistake or they felt like messing around with ppl a little bit

ahah feldy is so great, a bit hyper for me like as a person but top tier production wise and songwriting wise hes writen some real beauties over the years both for his band and other ppl glad he was able to salvage some of those great ideas if they werent going to be used for blink i remmeber when i quit my first band i was left with many great ideas and i endup being able to what goldyMan did and use them in my next project using them in a diff project also gave them a new life and in the end resulted in even better songs it's not rare that the real main reason something doesnt get released is that the thing wasnt "quite it" yet often bringing a new vision is able to get those ideas there

tom and mark are the john and paul of our time

meanwhile what a great song, i remmeber how hard it hit when it first got released,was great hearing the actual thing after hearing all the in-studio bits realy special how theyd let us in, on the recording process of such a special album, when often at the time it was more common for ppl to keep everything under lock till release in the retrospect they didnt spoil everythin but they definitly gave us alot of the heart of what they were working on was interestingto see how down started more in the shape of boxcar racer song and then they removed the boxcar parts and made it more serious, great move

yes well when u engage with this many diff ppl of all sorts of place, eventualy u wil run into that sort of situation like how matt skiba isnt religious at all and how mark and travis are prety religious and yet they prob never talked about it nor made it a thing, they just focused on what mattered wich was making a heck of an album(california)

its rare we get to see something from that era in this high of quality, very special to see how things were then but trough high quality footage

i was peaking at this and i tought, my oh my was that untitled record great im not holding it forever as a shadow on top of their new stuff but i cant not see, just how great that stuff was like how that litlte drum thing is so quiet with that bass starts at the beggining of always its so great realy sets the right tone for the rest of the song

alot of ppl dont like that blink has ppl writing their music now, nothing wrong with not liking that the thing is, likely if blink uses ppl to write their music is because at this point in time they dont feel capable aynmore of writing good enough music by themselves so having ppl write their music is the correct choice here

i too dont feel like any of the guitar stuff sound like tom on one more time(the album) i dont mind it, but i dont like it if they try to conceal hit, dishonesty is counter to what makes art great sounds to me like they understand that in these times if they want to sound realy great and like those modern powerfull emo teen band they have to do those things but they hate themselves for it so they try to not talk about it too much lol would make alot of sense if it was so especialy with travis comming out saying he wrote all of the song one more time lyircs included
