  1. They're old but not that old. 80's nardcore band are still kicking ass live, with the bandmembers that are almost 60 yo.
  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/Blink182/comments/1apx2k6/you_and_tom_kiss_all_the_time/ The band hasn't been so close in ages!
  3. For me neighborhoods contains excellent songs, which unfortunately get lost in the details and in production. There are demos from the Untitled sessions that aren't used properly: Up All Night starts with useless synths and ends with an heavy Box Car Racer riff that goes nowhere; Ghost on the Dancefloor has those arpeggiated guitar parts that would have been spectacular if recorded in the same tones as the 2004 tour, but instead they sound too low in the mix (the same thing happens for After Midnight); Even If She Falls (whose riff can be heard - in an acoustic version - in the Cheetah videos) works better but still has a too bland guitar intro, and a compressed sound. Just these 3 songs, if recorded properly, would have given a glimpse of that 2005 album that never happened. And there are songs like MH 4.18.2011 and Heart's All Gone that would have been much more enjoyable if Tom had played guitar on them (which Mark makes sound too repetitive, boring). This Is Home is the poor man's Blink Wave with the weirdest Tom's vocals post 2003, but it's catchy as hell. The incredible thing is that, despite everything, it remains a great album that makes us perceive not only the difficulties within the band but also their personal stories: Mark's writer's block and insecurity/loneliness and the latent disappointment of Tom in the AvA project (which he hadn't yet realized, but which he later admitted to having forced that sound too much into blink during that time).
  4. To me Other Side is one of those songs where Mark plays the guitar. The riff you hear at 1:26 makes me think of a classic Mark riff a la Heart's All Gone: https://youtu.be/7xtZbSHQ8PQ?t=82
  5. Sometimes the good ol' Tom shows up... I just don't like this part: Sometimes it seems as if he wants to scale back what he does in music.
  6. It's too early but here is my actual rating: Anthem part 3: 9/10 Dance with me: 10/10 Fell in Love 8/10 Terrified 9/10 One More Time 8,5/10 MTYK 8,5/10 Turn this off 8/10 Wwwy 8/10 Edging 7/10 Udwug 7,5/10 Blink wave 7,5/10 Bad news 8/10 Hurt 8/10 Turpentine 7/10 Fuck face 7,5/10 Other side 8/10 Childhood 6/10
  7. Yeah I've noticed it! Maybe they recorded the concert? Tom's voice in the video is clearly the live one.
  8. The .wav format is something else (I buyed the digital version from blink's shop). When the drums in Anthem Part. 3 begin to pound, you know that the world is a better place now.
  9. To me When We Were Young has that untitled/Box Car Racer vibe that you can hear in songs like Not Now, Another Girl Another Planet and Up All Night.
  10. Very few artists are able to release an album of this caliber long after their prime. blink did it. There must have been some interruption in the space-time continuum, otherwise all this cannot be explained... maybe this is what Tom was really working on in these past years.
  11. Love the cover! It has some 90's skate punk bands vibe.
  12. Looking at the latest releases of famous rock bands: those of Metallica and Foo Fighters were leaked a day before the release of their albums. Hackney Diamonds by the Rolling Stones (which will be released on September 20th as One More Time...) has not yet been leaked but from today you can listen to it in full on Planet Radio (UK).
