  1. Haha yeah mate I'm not that old. We've got kids games and educational games she plays on my iPhone and she started playing some of my side scrolling platform games as well and went alright, so I tried her on Mario and she loves it. Sometimes she just doesn't hold jump down for quite long enough and falls down holes. She struggles on the water levels with the copious amounts of fish everywhere too. So I have thought about grabbing something like Toy Story or a kiddie platform game/something easy she can muck about on with me. There's a lot of duds out there though so thought I'd see if anyone had some ideas.

I'll try Boom Blox if I've still got it.

  2. Actually I have got that game. I'll give her a try at it. She's only 4 though haha, have to see how she goes pointing at the screen with the remote etc. Mario is good because she only needs to know a few buttons

  3. Does anyone know a decent enough kids game for the Wii? I've been playing New Super Mario Bros with my daughter and she's alright at it, but still dies a fair bit and struggles a little with sections where you need a quick reaction time. If anyone has played any kids games that are a bit easier what do you recommend?

  4. It's funny how in today's politically correct culture where everyone wants to lift up people of different sexual orientation, that no one has mentioned his daughter's sad, heartfelt reaction:

She said she didn't want me to be a girl anymore—she wanted me to be a boy again.

I guess it's easier to overlook or shrug off his daughter's feelings.

Who ever said there were no innocent victims when it comes to a person's sexual preference aye

  5. Yeah I love Coheed. Not overly fussed on Ascension though, I hope part 2 is better. For me, the album is a definite improvement over Black Rainbow but not as good as all their older stuff. Only a couple of songs grab me, whereas on all the albums preceding YotBR I found every song memorable.

I just want them to go back to doing sick solos or big instrumental sections all the time.

  6. If I may chime in, I think the Wii's third party sales problem stemmed from the fact that the Wii was a second console in many houses. Everyone I know (myself included) who own a Wii also own a PS3/360 (aside from one friend who is a girl and bought it primarily for Wii fit).

No one in their right mind is going to buy, say, COD on Wii when they could get a hi def full featured version for their more powerful Playstation/Xbox. I got my Wii cause I'm an old school Nintendo fan, because it was cheap and for the exclusive titles. Outside of those exclusive titles I get the hardcore games or multi platform games on my superior 360, as I'm sure everyone would unless they owned a Wii only or are especially fond of motion controls.

So I think that's where the third party sales problem lies. Why buy a game which has been dumbed-down for a cheaper weaker console, when you could own the full featured graphically beautiful one on your more powerful console?

    But don't let me interrupt.

  8. Anyone heard of these guys? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hands_Like_Houses

They are from Canberra, Australia, but recorded their debut album Ground Dweller in the US which was released in March. I got their album two weeks ago and I'm really loving it. Here's a review for anyone interested. They remind me alot of The receiving end of sirens, sort of a post-hardcore sound but without the screams. Overall a really good band, I'll put up a few songs..

This is the first song I heard, which got me interested in them:

An acoustic take on their album closer:

    Studio version:

The more I listened to this album the more it grew on me. It also has cameos by Johnny Craig (Dance Gavin Dance), Tyler Carter (Woe, Is Me) and Matty Mullins (Memphis May Fire).

    Any fans?

  9. Hey anyone here ever play/currently playing Disc Drivin' on their iPhone? I got the game when it first came out a year and a half ago and it's still going strong on my phone. One of the only games I've stuck with since my first play. For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's a fairly simple multiplayer game. The easiest way to sum it up is its a turn based racing game, you swipe your disc to race around the track for 3 laps. Ok, so it's kind of hard to explain it, hang on I'll grab a review...

It's an asynchronous multiplayer game, so you have your turn and when you opponent has theirs it'll send you a notification and you can take your turn at your leisure. It's not really one of those games you can explain and hype up, you've sorta just got to play it yourself. Anyway, I have fun with it, it's got a 5 star rating in the Aussie app store and you can get it for a couple of bucks/free with ads.

If anyone plays I'm always keen for a match, my username is...... anada

  10. Creating a "rad prank" with the intention of putting it in the Hall of Fame on completion?

    Sweet dude

Is this the patented Aria pattern of not posting much for a little while then coming back with a vengeance with a few cracking laughs before sinking back into obscurity again?

Stay tuned to find out folks!

I actually did find this pretty funny though

    You're

This is just stupid and childish. Grow up.

    A

also, Travis had root canals yesterday. He would not be drumming less than 6 hours after 4 root canals.

Dumb joke that backfired because you didn't www.checkyourfacts.com

    Fag..

Lol Anada don't talk shit about some stupid thing I did for fun then say, in the same reply you found it pretty funny. You honestly think I thought this topic through like it would end up being in the HOF? Sweet dude. And Dylan, you honestly thought I was trying to trick people into believing this is true? Sweet. Dude.

I dunno, haven't you admitted before to making a topic to eventually have it placed in HOF? Anyway, it was just an observation so relax
